MARTIN CHROME KITCHEN SINK PULL OUT SHOWER TAP

After reading only positive reviews on here I purchased this tap feeling pretty confident and happy. It looks good and exactly what I wanted in style.However, after my plumber fitted it he was concerned and bemused by the fact that the whole body turned when swivelling the spout. He had never come across this before but he assumed it was what it was meant to do as the movement was so obvious.Then, two days later we find out that this movement causes the taps to loosen the nuts underneath and I ended up with a flooded cupboard. Thank goodness we caught it in time!My plumber has since tightened it as much as possible but theres still some play in it and I'm nervous about it leaking again as theres still some 'wetness' around the pipes underneath!I move the spout as little as possible and have contacted Atorre for information and possible return of goods.Whatever the outcome, I don't think I'll be keeping this tap as I cant keep checking every day and would be concerned when away on holiday!I would think twice about purchasing this item!

Tap was supplied by iBath with rapid dispatch and delivery. It comes in what could almost be a presentation box with fitted foam interior to protect parts. The tap looks great, is high quality at a great price and is straight forward to fit to a one and a half bowl sink, providing the spray connection is made before the water supply. Having read the reviews, I was a little concerned about the comments re hot water pressure as the supply is a traditional non pumped 2 storey gravity feed but need not have worried as the flow is actually slightly better than the previous mixer tap. The pull out spray is ideal for cleaning the sink, washing vegetables etc. and the wife loves it – hence 5* rating.

This tap itself is lovely and very good value for money. The tap body is chrome/metal but the shower head part is plastic covered in a chrome finish so I don't know how long the chrome coating will last. Also it came with absolutely no fitting instructions but my husband managed to work out how to fit it.The first tap we ordered we found after fitting it that it was leaking from the handle. After a number of emails & negotiations the supplier eventually agreed to send me a new tap as long as I paid the £5 delivery charge. The second tap is absolutely fine with no leaks.Overall a good buy for just under £30.

Best tap ever, looks far more expensive that it was - Mine was under £25.00 nine months ago. Took longer to install than expected, position of the sink rather than the tap itself. Has been installed now for over 8 months and works exceptionally well. My only criticism would be the blue/red marks for hot and cold, are under the pull down handle, so you can't actually see them, but you should know which direction to turn the tap anyway.Lovely looking, infact incredibly striking - especially on a black granite sink !

Brilliant for the money to be honest. Easy enough instructions but here's a tip... ignore the bit that tells you to only hand tighten the mounting nut, you need to make sure that this is tight or when you try to move the main spout left or right the whole unit rotates. In addition to this you will find a small grub screw down low on the swivel mount. Loosen it off, mine was too tight which meant that when I tried to move the spout the whole tap rotated in its seating. Follow these two simple tips and it will be fine. I've seen similar taps at £80 up to £500 so I am very impressed with this.

With the right tools this is easy to install. What you need is a set of monoblock spanners (purchased on amazon along with this tap) to remove your existing tap if like mine had a 12mm nut securing it to the sink. The other important tool is a basin wrench to tighten this tap onto the sink this I borrowed but are available to buy on amazon. When you have these tools fitting this tap is easy without these tools you will struggle to fit this tap. Brilliant tap would recommend it.

So much control and so many options for use - this tap is so much more versatile than my pervious "swan neck" tap in the kitchen.The button on the head of the nozzle that changes the spray from direct to shower comes in really handy when rinsing large bowls or soup pots, etc.Also handy for washing your hair over the sink when bending down over the side of the bathtub is just a nightmare on the back!

Very easy to fit, not the smoothest of extendable taps but for the price I really can't head is plastic and feels a bit cheap but the silver laminate has yet to peel off and the switch between spray and direct flow is great, providing that you've got the power for the spray, if not it's a pathetic dribble, so make sure you've got a powerful flow.
