they would work great for this application
Used two of these to replace the intermediate base bulbs in my Kitchen Aid range hood. One of the two burned out almost exactly one year after the installation date. Except for the early failure, they would work great for this application...but one year in a fixture that is very lightly used is unacceptable. Im starting to think these high failure rates in the China made LED bulbs is the new normal.

Unreliable
Nice fit for the kitchen ceiling fan lights. Pleasant specter, not too harsh. The angle could be better, but I guess that's the limitation of the technology today.Updating the review a year later as 3 lamps out of 6 I bought are now dead, completely eliminated the penny savings from lower consumption.

Good light for the money. Nice and bright for an LED. Had one go out in a years time.
