I have to give these 5 stars. Affordable, and effective. I've had plantar fasciitis for around 4 years. These help, they are extremely convenient. Take the advice from me, these are the most convenient way to ice your feet out there. I got the ones with the straps, with PF you really need to get that arch iced. With the strap you can pull it tight and get that ice pack up against your arch. There is one downside to doing that though. Once you are done, and put them back in the freezer, most of the liquid inside the packs will be pushed up to the front of the packs, so they will then freeze like this too. So a fix for this is to flatten them back out evenly before refreezing that way they are good to go the next time. I use these all the time and I'll probably be buying another pair when I wear these out.Edit later: The small ice pack that goes behind the foot on the ankle isn't really necessary for me because most all of my pain is in the arch area so what I do now is take the small ice pack and just put it with the long ice pack. It makes for colder and longer ice sessions in the areas I need it. Hope this helps someone else.

I love these! I ordered these for several reasons. I have horrible arthritis in my right foot from a surgery 15 years ago, have plantar fasciitis in both feet and heel spurs in both feet. I work in a nursing home and am constantly on my feet. Not a good combo. Most nights when I get off work I am in so much pain that I cry. These socks ARE NOT a miracle cure and they dont take away all my pain, but I didn't expect them to. But....I put them on my feet for about an hour when I get in bed at night after work and it feels amazing. They lessen my pain by about 30% which is worth a $30 investment. My complaint is that there are not enough places for the ice packs. Ideally, I would want a full length one under my foot (which there is), but also a full length one on top, which none of the models offer. So basically I would just like a sock that is ice all over!

I use these socks for cold therapy only at this point and they work fantastic. I put it on every night at bed time to help with the plantar fasciitis. The only issue I had was with the stitching on the sock. Right where the bottom of the foot meets the heel, there was a small hole where the stitching was coming apart. The first time I ordered this product it was on both socks. I returned them and re-ordered. The second time I received these socks, only one had the hole. I only have the issue with one foot so I wasn't using both socks, and did not notice the hole until after I had been using the product. I contacted Amazon, and they are helping me resolve this issue.Other reviews have mentioned that the gel packs don't stay cold for very long. They absolutely get warmer than I thought they would. I put them in the freezer, so when I put them on they are very cold. It does get warmer, but not "warm" probably after 35 minutes or so. Considering the doctor recommended ice for 20 minutes for me, this isn't a problem for me. The sock itself is fantastic, and it works great. I would recommend just check for the holes!

These are big socks with pockets for gel packs. There is no left and right, they are identical. Not too much to critique, they hold Ice against the back and bottom of your foot, so they're good for that. Where they're laughably inadequate is the "Compression Strap" little white velcro band. It's barely long enough to overlap itself over my girlfriend's (very small) feet, and when you do wrench it over, it only has the narrowest strip of 'hard' velcro on one end, and relies on the material itself to be the 'soft' end. This would be okay, if the material were fluffy and grabbed the rough velcro reliably. Unfortunately the band is always under tension and it takes some work to get the band to stay together, and it remains precarious despite hardly moving while wearing the sock. I'd recommend a separate band to supplement if 'compressing' this against your foot reliably is important to you.

These are easy to put on and take off. I get foot pain right behind my toes and have to add a hook and loop strap to keep contact with that sore area or keep my feet on the floor. But ice does do wonders for pain and these work. I think these should last a while and so far I'm happy being less painful.

My husband is a CRC patient on an oral chemo. One of its worst side effects is extremely sore and tender soles of his feet. The pain had reached the point he was wearing 2 pair of cushiony socks and well cushioned slippers, and he was still in pain. He is not a fan of "gadgets." I ordered these anyway. He was not impressed ---until he tried them! Wow! Love at 1st try. Much to my surprise, he already had them on when I awoke the next morning. CRC patients, please give these cold socks a try. They're awesome!

I have Multiple Sclerosis and was searching for a cooling product that would help with summer heat intolerance issues. My feet and ankles were horribly swollen because of rising temperatures and nothing I tried was helping.I have to say, these looked a little weird when I unwrapped them and I didn't have much faith that they'd actually do anything.I couldn't have been more mistaken. I put the gel packs in the freezer for 2 hours, popped them in their pockets and put the socks on while I tried to take a nap.Not only was I able to Sleep, but the horrible swelling in my feet and ankles was completely gone!!! For 2 weeks, nothing else I tried helped at all. After an hour and a half not only did I have normal looking feet, but my core temp also decreased.LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!!!
