Strongest of the flavors
I am always looking for plastic-free or plastic-reducing solutions for everyday life. I have been considering tooth tabs for over a year, but until now hadn't pulled the trigger. I have seen the big brands advertised online for a long time but didn't want to bite while dealing with a subscription-based service (who wants to deal with.. or can remember... to cancel if you don't like something!?). I then decided I would search Amazon and see what their available tooth tabs were.FIRST IMPRESSIONSOther than the fact that these arrived in the plastic bubble mailer (come on, Amazon - send these in a recyclable cardboard box please) I could not have been more excited when these arrived. I don't know that I've ever looked forward to brushing my teeth until the day these arrived! As someone who dislikes the feeling of typical toothpaste (why does it BURN ! so bad!) I was hoping these would be different... and let me tell you they absolutely deliver on that. The feeling is quite different - chewing the tablet, making sure NOT to swallow it, the flavor is different - but I enjoyed using this. My teeth still felt clean even though I found myself wondering... are they really clean? Only because the absent burning feeling paste gives you.PERFORMANCEAgain, because this is nothing like typical paste, the overall feeling is different. I have been using it for a few days now and do not notice any difference in how clean my teeth feel though. I don't notice any tartar buildup, no differences in how my gums look or feel. Because of the mild mint flavor, I am not sure if my breath is truly as fresh as it would be with paste. However according to the box these came in the tabs are supposed to be great for everything. I use a sonic toothbrush, and the foam is very fine to almost non-existent, so it is a very different experience. Because of that, I think in my mind I am not getting as good of a cleaning. I did notice that when I went out of town and just used my manual travel toothbrush, the foam was a lot more abundant, so perhaps something about sonic vibrations reduce the amount of foaming.NO FLUORIDE?I am not a person who particularly has feelings one way or another about fluoride. I know many people choose to avoid it. I am sure it is in my water source as well, and I really don't know if it is good or bad, but these are fluoride free. They do have xylitol, which seems to get a bad rep because it can be toxic to dogs but I have no dogs in my house so I don't have to worry about that. I did find myself thinking that if these were available in a version *with* fluoride, I would try them just to compare performance, but maybe it is better this way. A quick internet search on Xylitol says that it is claimed to balance saliva pH thereby fighting tooth decay. This sounds like a good ingredient to have in a tooth tab, if that is true!FLAVORI've now tried 3 of the flavors - vanilla mint, peppermint, and these cinnamon. Cinnamon is by far the strongest flavor. The flavor reminds me of those cinnamon gumball looking candy things that I can't recall the name of. It's really yummy and again hard to remember it's toothpaste don't swallow it haha!COMPARING TO REGULAR TOOTHPASTEI want to say that since I started using the tabs, I've used traditional toothpaste maybe 3 times. Firstly, it burns so bad that it makes me realize we just get used to that burning but it's so much worse when you're not used to it anymore. Secondly, I notice that when I use paste, my teeth feel like they are left with a powdery residue on them that doesn't exist when I use the tabs. So even though I don't think my breath is as fresh using the tabs, I feel my teeth are cleaner using the tabs.

Affordable chew tablets for the more conscientious teeth brusher
These work great for teeth brushing and I feel a little better about not having supported plastic use in the classic tooth paste containers. That is the main reason for using these that I know of. Granted- the tablets are in small plastic sealed bags, but they are small thin bags which can be thrown in plastic film recycling and brought to a grocery store pickup area for plastic bags. One thing my wife mentioned was that after I brushed using these tablets, my breathe was not so nice- so I concentrate on scrubbing my tongue a little bit more with them before the teeth and that has helped.

So far I am loving these tabs!

Honestly... they taste SO good that I find it challenging not to swallow them like mint candies!

delicious and not too foamy
I love that these are packaged in 100% compostable materials. no plastics. the cinnamon has a nice cinnamon flavor. my wife gets a quicker foamier response than I do. I get sufficient foam just takes a little longer to get there. we use these daily but also found them convenient on a week-long trip. honestly I still prefer regular toothpaste gel, but I'll use these to avoid the plastics.

Buy cinnamon. The bubble gum was a huge disappointment.
Great and will never buy toothpaste ever again, however I bought "bulk" bubblegum, when all along I use the cinnamon. Sticking to the cinnamon. Bubblegum gags me.

No plastic
Regular toothpastes has micro beads of plastic that get into the aquatic food chain. Not good.
