Weldental Xylitol Expanding Dental Floss 50m Available in Singles, 4-Packs, and 6-Packs

The “expanding” part doesn’t happen until well after you’ve had it between your teeth. Still it’s a serviceable product that does the job.

I have been using this to lasso around my dental implants and normal use for the rest of my teeth. When the thread gets into tight spaces, the wax comes off and the threads are revealed to help remove any stuff caught under the dental implant. There are some thicker options (Oral-B), but it does not come in a convenient floss container. I opted for this product because it's sponge floss in a normal floss container good for traveling.

The best part about this floss is that when you floss between your teeth and pull it out, the part you used becomes fluffed out so you see exactly which part you used! For me this means less waste since I’m not guessing how much or when on the floss I’ve used (since I don’t floss with the same length of floss between different teeth). Plus having the xylitol added is great for tooth and gum health since it prevents bacteria from gathering. Anyway, finding this was a total win. Love it.

The floss really doesn’t “expand” and is hard on the gums. Given how thick it is, it’s also hard for me to get between my teeth. I’m likely going to have to throw out the lot since its not good for my use. I’ll go back to what I know works well for my teeth and gums.

I bought this as a replacement for braided floss, that has now been discontinued.I was disappointed. It does NOT expand immediately when wet, while flossing. It takes awhile and usually after I have completed flossing all my teeth.It is okay when it remains thin, and likely good for people with tight spaces between teeth, but I wanted a sponge affect for larger space between teeth.I did not get that effect.In addition I thought it was a bit overpriced.

Price is good. The floss is strong and doesn't fray. It actually swells when it comes into contact with plaque. Up to date with the recent discovery that xylitol is good for oral health. Will definitely keep this in my plaque fighting arsenal.

As a dental hygienist, I would recommend this floss to anyone. It turns into a web after it pushes in between your teeth. It cleans amazingly well and leaves behind xylitol ( anti cavity ingredient) It is thick and my take a little more effort in all your tight areas but well worth your time!

If you are looking for a floss akin to Oral B's Ultra Floss which was discontinued....this is the best option I've found. It works. It works great in fact. The woven, expandable fibers clean between the teeth and have not shred once yet. Thank you Weldental ! Excellent product :) Nicely packaged as well.
