Nice tool to have.
Works well. Used to replace timing chain assembly on a mini cooper. Keeps cams lined up to crank & made job easy.

Perfect fit for 2014 Mini Cooper S Clubman
These tools are precise and great price. I have the N18 motor and saw some reviews about "mediocre" fit. At first, I was going to agree as I thought one of the timing tools wasn't fitting right, but I shifted the motor around and found out my intake cam was about a quarter of a tooth off and my timing chain had stretched. Car runs like a top now after chain and tensioner replacement. This tool was worth every penny.

A must have for a Mini Cooper engine!
Very nice kit for setting up a Mini Cooper engine for a timing chain replacement. Functions overall very much like the factory tooling. I did make some minor adjustments to the exhaust cam holder to give adequate clearance while the turbo is installed on my N14 engine, hence only 4 stars. But the value for the money can't be beat. Definitely will work for other engines, just only have experience with the N14 engine.Update: I also ended up using it later for an N18 engine in a 2012 Countryman. Worked great with no complaints. I did add a few washers to the center connection as the bolt was longer than the tapped hole.

N14 approved
Worked good for 2010 mini Cooper S.. had to cut a tiny bit of the one ear off because it wouldn't clear the turbo and I didn't feel like taking the turbo off.. only needed to trim about 1/8" off.. If the tool isn't aligning properly it's because your chain is stretched and the cams are out of time.. loosen the intake cam gear, and rotate the cam to fit in the tool.

As advertised.
Worked perfectly on a 2011 Mini Cooper Base (non turbo).

Solid tool
I used this to keep the timing on my daughter’s mini, everything installed as it should, but ended up not having to change the timing, as it was the vanos system that was failing. But from and install point of view, and how the tool felt. I don’t think I would have any issues with it, if I had to change the timing.
