Del Mex Mexican Rebozo Shawl Blanket Doula

This Rebozo literally saved me from a hospital transfer during my home birth. After sitting at 7cm for 5 hours, my midwives wanted me to transfer. Terrified of getting a c-section, I asked them to use this rebozo on me first. With me laying on my back, in the center of the rebozo, they sifted me back and forth. I was lucky to have 2 midwives (wouldn't do it any other way), so each person could alternate lifting that side. About 15 minutes later, I was dilated to 9 and pushing very soon after!Since the birth, I've used it on the floor for tummy time. It does snag pretty easily, so I'm unsure how I feel about it for babywearing. I plan to keep this for future pregnancies!

I wanted to write a review for other doulas specifically. I purchased this for my own doula work and got the 9 by 5 XL size. It is recommended to get a larger rebozo for doula work so you can do more things with it other than body work (hanging it over a door ect.) I will say, the majority of my work with the rebozo is used for belly sifting and body work. This size is just way to big for that. You have to double it over width wise but it’s just too thick to feel like I have a good grip on it, which I want. I’ll keep this one around but I’ll be looking for another that’s not soo thick.

I ordered the small (2'x4') to use for belly sifting during birth as a doula. The rebozo is appropriate for the price. I definitely would NOT use this to carry a baby (which is suggested with the larger sizes.I've had to repair several places where the weave has slipped loose (shown in photos)Over all, good buy if you're not planning to bear weight on the rebozo.

This is a beautiful rebozo. The color was a little darker green than what I had thought, but I am very pleased with the product. I bought the x-long rebozo for use for my daughter when she is bigger, but have been using it as a throw blanket while I nurse her and am loving it! The fabric is very vibrant in color and the use of contrasting colors makes this stand out even more! I am actually considering buying a smaller one even though I have a rebozo from a workshop I did prenatally because I love the contrasting colors that much!

I bought it as a gift for our Doula after the birth of our daughter. We used a towel while at the hospital for the same effect, as neither of us had anything large enough for the sifting comfort technique. When I gave it to her, she said it was one of the most thoughtful gifts she has ever received. I purchased the extra large size light blue Rebozo, and the colors are vibrant and lovely. Highly recommend.

My wife is a women's health care nurse practitioner who teaches childbirth classes. She wanted this for her classes. She said she is very pleased with it. If she is pleased, I am pleased.

I received my rebozos today, the quality is good however unfortunately for me two of the rebozos are not the right colours that I ordered.The colour is significant in how I treat my clients from an energetic point of view and I choose these colours carefully when ordering so I was very disappointed having ordered A beautiful light purple colour as is in the picture to have instead received a dark navy purple colour(photo above) and also instead of the bright pink I received a much deeper pink rebozo.I ordered these especially as I live in Ireland and had to pay additional customs on them to import to Ireland so I am very disappointed as it’s far to expensive for me to try and return them and I can’t afford to order more given the cost so I’m stuck with two rebozos I can’t use.

I have purchased this to add to my Doula Bag for the upcoming births I am attending. I have not yet used it, but after initial inspection, it looks to be made with quality materials and will likely work well for what I need it for. I purchased the MInt color one.

Love the quality of the rebozo. I got the largest size and it was much bigger than I realized when I got it but am super happy with it. Works perfectly for my doula exercises.

Seems like a nice enough item. We’ll see how it does during labour comfort techniques. Is a bit expensive.
