Nicapa Adhesive Replacement Cutting Mat Supermat for Cricut Green cleanable StandardGrip Supermat 12x24 2pack

Having been so happy with Nicapa mats before, I figured I'd be even happier with the "SuperMat".... Was I ever Mistaken!I'm experienced with using an Explore Air 2, had just put in a new blade this morning, and was about half way through cutting the dozen pages needed to assemble into a Mother's Day gift for my MIL. Needing yet another mat, I grabbed one of my SuperMats, with every expectation of new levels of satisfaction and success!!After removing the protector sheet i found a layer of sticky that felt kinda like a big zot-dot attached to the plastic mat.Top rated cardstock placed on the mat, i sent the first cut to the new mat - a dozen flowers. When i glanced over to check on progress I realized i had a problem - 3 flowers had already popped up and were dancing around on the mat, and the one that was cutting was trying to do the same. I held it in place while it cut, and babysat the rest of the cutting as best i could. Luckily I was able to prevent too much damage to the flowers being cut - only 2 had mis-cuts, and were easy enough to recut later.I peeled the protective sheet off the other 2 mats in the package and found the same sticky goo - which I then realized was able to be peeled up with my thumb and pulled off the mat.I've been very happy with, and will stick to the "regular" Standard Green Nicapa mats - they hold well, are cleanable and reusable many times.Nicapa - you should be ashamed of yourselves for producing this type of garbage and marketing it as a upgrade to a perfectly great product!!

UPDATED:Added another star to my original 3 star review. In order for it to work, you have to hold the mat down and feed it through pushed flush to the right. It's a little tedious but after some use, you'll get used to it. The mat is just narrow enough to not be held down by the guide pieces on the Cricut.If you push it flush too hard when feeding the mat, it'll get displaced. If you don't push it flush enough, it'll feed in crooked :|BUT. for the price, I mean..Original Review:Product arrived late but was marked as delivered.. 🤔First thing that caught my eye was that it's slightly smaller all around than the original Cricut mat.When using it, the cut is off slightly because the cricut blade doesn't go that far out to the side.. so I have to eyeball about a quarter inch more from the side inwards.

Though this product claims to be comparable to Cricut brand strong grip mats, it is far from it. At first I was excited at how sticky it seemed, only to be disappointed to find it really doesn't hold materials well at all. Not only that, but the sticky part of it seems to be a film, almost like double sided tape, applied to the cutting mat. I've tried to cut only a few times since receiving this product yesterday, and the sticky is bubbling up and peeling off. For only $5 more, I could have purchased a 3-pack of Cricut brand mats.

These are great for cutting cardstock- way less than the branded mats and work just as well! I highly recommend and will buy these again for the much better price!

Nothing is more frustrating that using a mat that is super sticky or doesn't stick at all. Somehow this product managed to do both in the first couple of projects. I wasted a significant amount of paper and card stock with it either sticking so much I couldn't get the paper off without curl or tearing, or it was so NOT sticky that it the paper/cardstock came off mid-cut, ruining the cut and wasting materials.

I was so pleased with this purchase. I was hesitant to get an off brand cutting mat, but decided to go ahead and chance it. I'm so glad I got them! They have BETTER adhesion than the Silhouette brand mats and last longer as well. I love having 3 different adhesion levels as well. Light for delicate papers is awesome! Must buy for owners of craft cutting machines.

I heard great things about these mats so I thought I would give them a try but now I wish I didn't. When I go to pull the vinyl sheet off the backing rips off vinyl and wont come off mat. So basically I have wasted Vinyl, time, and now have a mat I cant use with paper stuck all over it. If you are going to use this brand us the LIGHTEST grip you can.

I have bought this before from Nicapa and love it- supermats are amazing for holding glitter HTV. BUT- I just bought 2 more from this SAME listing, (but a different seller) and what I was sent were regular nicapa mats- not the supermats. Seller was GreatGifts LLC. Now I have the hassle of returning them. The extra cost is well worth it for the supermat but watch where you buy it from
