Great product and service
The media could not be loaded. So I was in the market for a new dash cam because my other malfunctioned and was not hidden by tethering it together with the rear view mirror. I must say I am very pleased. I used the hardwire kit and hooked it up to my fuse box so all the wires are not visible. The installation was very easy. I installed the rear camera to the outside of the vehicle and love the clarity. This is a fun dash cam to play with. It has very beautiful visuals and all the functions you could ask for. It is not hard to use and actually so much easier than my old one because of the touch screen. I don’t have to take it down and push buttons. I just swipe the screen and like a cellphone everything is magic.I would like to add that the customer service is unmatched and I mean that. I’ve never had a company contact me so fast after sending questions. I would definitely recommend this product and am actually buying one as a gift for a friend. This is a honest review and I am very pleased.(Update)I’m getting to understand all the functions a lot better. I’m enjoying this dash cam more now than when I first wrote the review. I installed the rear camera on the outside of my vehicle. In the morning when I first get in the car it’s very cold and ice is on the front and back windshields. The back camera is always clear. I’m having no problems with this product. It takes a few days to get use to it and focus on the road (instead of admiring this cam) so be careful. It is now second nature to me. I can stare at the road and take pictures, lock recordings, switch view without taking my eyes of the road.. if you’re a tech lover you will love this cam. So far so good. Going back to the original rear view mirror would be like playing games on a PC then going back to Atari. My opinion.. Also the view is brighter on dark streets. My windows are tinted but even the front view is brighter on dark streets.

Comparison between 2020 DMYCO 10" and DMYCO 12"
Rating Update 4/20/2020------------------------------I raised the star rating from 4 to 5 after using this mirror as my primary for an extended period of time. This is just as great as the 12" model. I had initially dinged a star because I wanted the anti-glare on the 10" to be more effective, but reality is, the glare is only an impact some of the time (and is currently the same across all other brands that I've researched) and while this unit functions as a direct replacement for the 12" it even includes some better build upgrades like the mirror mounting support.Original Review-------------------This review contains a comparison between 2020 DMYCO 10" and prior DMYCO 12" and context for a 2017 Jeep Wrangler JKU install.First time owner of a digital rearview mirror. I specifically was in the market for the full-time streaming rearview camera and not so much on the front + rear dashcam needs. I have a lifted Jeep Wrangler with a mounted extra large tire on the rear that virtually blocks my entire view. When I learned about digital rearview mirrors, the DMYCO mirrors rose to the top in the reviews I read for quality, GPS, and service.Responsive Customer Service-------------------------------------I have been in contact with the seller since I purchased the 12" mirror and Michael has been very responsive and more than friendly considering the world crisis underway. That said, the 12" model has the GPS module ordered separately when you contact DMYCO at a very nominal cost. You just have to prepare to wait a few more days to a week. While talking with DMYCO, I was on the fence between the 10" and 12" and so I ultimately ordered both to compare.Important distinctions between the 10" vs. 12" packages.* The 12" Model comes with a 32GB MicroSD card whereas the 10" model does not.* The 10" model comes with the GPS module, while you have to order it separately for the 12" model.Pros----------------------* Excellent responsive customer service, can't stress that enough.* Relatively easy Installation (figuring out your wiring path varies per car)* Very intuitive interface.Cons----------------------* Both the 10" and 12" model suffer from glare. I expected the 10" anti-glare screen to make a difference, but I found the glare the same as the 12" and in fact, the 12" screen seems to get just a bit brighter on the brightest setting that I prefer that unit solely for that reason.Connection Details----------------------I was trying to find connection details when looking at all these options so I can better understand future camera replacement options, extensibility options, etc. So here's what you need to know:* Power uses micro usb (5V/3A) -- this 3 amp is important when considering hardwire kits* Rear camera uses a mini 4 pin male connector to the extension wiring* Rear camera extension wiring has the 4 pin female connector for the camera, and a 2.5mm 4 pole AUX into the mirror* GPS module uses a 3.5mm connector* Memory uses the TF (TransFlash) / MicroSD card. I've tested a SAMSUNG EVO Plus 128GB (MB-MC128GA) on both 10" and 12" with no problem recording or playback.Notes for a Jeep Wrangler (JKU)---------------------------------------* All wiring is adequate length for the installation including the rear camera trigger line if you want to use it* All wires tucked away nicely into the roll cage cover and front windshield molding without taking it apart (I had my hardtop off for the good weather, which made installation a breeze!, [pun intended])* I installed the rear camera on the steel bumper (below the stock plastic bumper) of the lifted wrangler by using a steel pulley bracket I had laying around - this gives the camera added protection and I didn't have to mess with wiring near the large rear tire or tailgate. My rear video is great when driving, I thought it would be too low, but since the video is adjustable, I aim a little higher, and because the jeep is 3" lifted, the camera is in a great location.* The 12" mirror does get in the way for the driver side sun visor if you're trying to put it down to the windshield, whereas the 10" mirror is fine (unless you slide the front camera out fully)* The 10" mirror does not require the front camera to be slide out fully (which is a great thing) - keeps it more discreetComparison----------------------* The 10" model has improved rearview mirror straps that firmly rest against the stock rearview mirror. Nice upgrade DMYCO.* The 12" model seemed to be ultimately a tad brighter, which is very important on bright days with the top off. * * The 10" model looks really discreet with the black plastic backing compared to the 12" silver backing when looking from the front of the vehicle* Both use the exact same wiring, GPS module, and operating system.Improvements I would like to see------------------------------------------* True anti-glare coating on the mirrors (but that's because I want to use the screen full-time in day light)* Maybe the anti-glare could be a removable film for those that don't need it?* Even brighter screen if possible for those bright days* Wish the 12" model was black all around (like the 10") so it's even more discreet from the outside* Update to the operating system to optionally hide all the text (speed, DMYCO branding, time, etc.) when drivingOverall---------------------I'm very pleased with my purchase, and I'm so glad I have added the safety of being able to see my rearview once more. The added GPS, collission recording, and front camera are just bonus for my purposes, and I'm quite satisifed.

Very good for the price
UPDATE: it’s been a few weeks and this mirror cam is still working great. I’ve knocked off a star because the display could be a bit brighter. Also, it doesn’t revert back to a standard mirror (screen off) unless you push a button. Because of this, He’s started using it as a virtual rear view mirror, which is something you only see in very high end cars. It greatly improves rear visibility and it’s really cool too.Original review:Installed this for my friend and, for the price, it’s a very good setup. The touchscreen is responsive, the cameras are good quality, and the materials feel nice and solid. For people who don’t read instructions (like myself): you can adjust what section of the camera you are seeing by sliding your finger up and down on the left side of the display. You can also change the brightness by sliding your finger up and down on the right side of the display. My only complaint is that the screen is not super bright. It’s bright enough but I would prefer it be brighter. The backup camera can also act as a virtual rear view mirror (which I think is really cool) and a brighter screen would make that feature more practical. My other complaint is that the rear view camera is not a fisheye/wide angle lens. This means that you can’t aim it to see the bumper while still seeing a good distance behind you. I do plan to replace the camera with a different one at some point in the future.

Great product for the price!
Works great, especially for the price. Camera and recording quality is great and everything works flawlessly. Of course, there is glare as it is a mirror but for not a big issue. I use it in a camper which does not have back windows and use the rear camera only to park the car which works great.Minor issue, speed is shown in mph and I would like to switch it km/h. Cannot find a way to change it, need to contact support. Btw support is great, fast response and great help!

Ok product. Do your research
This is a good product. But do your research first.I forgot to measure the current mirror in my car so 10" is the same size, but should have gone for the 12" model. You will prob need to get use to the mirror as it will be different to the manufacturer. Eg. How enlarged, slight differences with mirror curvature. The camera won't be centred, and hence in Australia the driver side (right) is not completely captured. With the camera arm extended out it is still not enough to get full front bonnet visibility. And because the extensio is plastic, expect it to rattle, along with some vibrations of the mirror.Due to the tinted coating on the mirror, there is a slight double vision when cars behind have their lights on.I personally will buy a barrel type or the traditional small inch screen style now for my car
