Sturdy, attractive, fun, good-value bunk beds
Although this is not very difficult to assemble, it is time-consuming. It took me over 12 hours start to finish, and I think it would be very difficult if not impossible to assemble the main frame alone so make sure there is someone around to help in the first couple of hours. After that it’s a one-person job.The instructions are fairly clear except that the pictures of the various fixings don’t all look like the supplied ones, e.g. some screws that are actually fully threaded are pictured as partly threaded, although I didn’t find it too difficult to figure out which ones were which. It is important to read all the instructions before starting as there are some general ways of approaching the task that you need to know about in advance of starting. You will also need a Phillips screwdriver, Allen keys, a pencil and a tape measure, none of which are included in the boxes. An electric drill is also very useful for pilot holes and for helping drive tricky screws all the way in, but it’s better to use a hand screwdriver where possible I found. A stepladder would also be very useful for installing the bed slats on the top bunk. I struggled without a stepladder and as a result the top bunk slats are slightly unevenly spaced, not that this matters in practice but I personally prefer things to be very neat.Once assembled, the beds look great and are far sturdier than any kids’ bed I’ve made before. It’s all solid pine, and firmly fixed together. I was intending to fix it to a wall for stability but on a carpeted floor there’s no need. It’s rooted in place by its own weight. The kids love playing underneath it and can’t wait to have their friends to stay over on the bottom bunk. The mattresses aren’t what I would describe as comfy but the kids say they are comfy, and they’ve both slept through the night more frequently since sleeping on them so what do I know. The two-mattress package is excellent value for money, especially compared to the over £1000 packages I saw elsewhere for more pedestrian looking bunks. I’d definitely recommend. I’d also suggest considering the expert assembly option if you’re short of time or especially if there’s no-one available to help assemble it. £50 to save yourself 10-25 hours seems a good deal especially if you don’t enjoy or lack confidence in flat pack assembly.

Sturdy, GREAT after sales ! Clear instructions
The best service I have ever had.Firstly delivery: the bed originally was scheduled to arrive in 4 weeks but arrived 2 days after ordering! Came as quite a surprise but a nice one.Second quality: I ordered a triple bunk bed and it is solid, lovely rounded edges, no chemicals which is amazing and hard to find so I feel safe having it for my kids, no bad smells and is good quality. Also sustainable wood too so ticks all the boxes for meThird instructions: whilst the bed had A LOT of pieces to assemble, and took a long time, the instructions were so clear and well written or was brilliant!I'm so used to rubbish diagrams and pictures too small to clearly see with self assembly but this was lovely and clear and showed step by step with even a helpline and videos if needed too (I didn't use these so can't comment but really nice to know they were there).Fourth, after service: During assembly there were a couple of pieces of wood where the knots came out, one in particular on a joint leaving a gap sand a piece of wood with Sap coming out of it. I got in contact with them and they promptly sent a link to a page where you select the piece(s) you need replacing, and it was so easy, I followed the numbers on the picture for what I needed and it was all free of charge, no delivery costs and the new pieces have arrived 2 days later!Brilliant service!I'm so pleased with this company, and the kids LOVE the bunk beds too and the single mattresses we have fit in perfectly.I plan to use them again if I ever convert it to a single with desk underneath I'll buy the add on extras.I am so pleased how well this turned out and I also had no idea they had the good after sales either, so I wanted to make sure to leave a review as I definitely recommend them🙂I will aim to have a picture taken where I don't have my kids being in it too haha to my review as at the moment I only have pictures of the sap and broken part but if someone sees that and doesn't read the review itself it may put them off (as personally I look at the pictures and don't always read the reviews)
