If you've been stuck on prescription drugs like rabeprazole, or find yourself often reaching for tums, pepto, rolaids, zantac, etc., then you owe it to your health to a) start eating better (d'uh) but also b) check out Glutagenics. I've never found a price as good as the $39 I see here on Amazon and I've used this product for two years now. I had taken rabeprazole for 4 years, then started seeing an ND who said to get off it as we need stomach acid to help digest food and get the enzymes and nutrition out of it.As soon as I got off it though, heartburn and acid reflux went nuts. It was painful, and you don't want to suffer through that for extended lengths of time because it can erode your esophagus and cause esophageal cancer or Barrett's Esophagus. Enter Glutagenics. After only a couple days my heartburn was gone. I was taking 1tsp in water in the morning and one at night. If you have bad GERD then you may wish to take 1tsp four times a day, one with each meal then one just before bedtime, for the first week until you notice symptoms subside completely.I changed to just an L-Glutamine powder because I found it to be much cheaper, but because I wasn't watching my diet and still eating a lot of animal protein, over-eating and drinking too much alcohol on the week-ends the symptoms returned. Turns out the L-Glutamine only gives you muscle relief (ie - the esophageal sphincter is a muscle) and strengthens your digestive tract, while your esophagus lining is coated by the licorice extract and aloe extract, so I was missing those two components. A return to the Glutagenics and I had my relief again.These days I try to consume substantially less animal protein, eat more vegetables thanks to the Vitamix blender I picked up, and I'm finding that even if I only take the Glutagenics a couple times a week I don't get return symptoms. If I'm going to barbecue up some slow smoked ribs on a week-end (rarity) and drink a little more than usual then I'll have a hit of the Glutagenics a few times in the day leading up to those meals/events.This is an amazing product, thank you Metagenics.

Excellent product for acid reflux. Purchased on the recommendation in a book written by an MD who practices integrative medicine. Her recommendation was to use this product because of the combination of ingredients contained that have been clinically shown to work. The symptom relief began within 3 days of using the product as instructed. Most notably the symptoms experienced at night lessened the first day and continued to decrease until within a week there was no discomfort.These results were experienced by mixing 1 teaspoon of Glutagenics as directed in a glass of water and taking it 3 times a day on an empty stomach (before breakfast) and at least 20 minutes before lunch and dinner. Taste is very subjective but I had no problem with the very mild flavor and find drinking it soothing. The product dissolved easily when stirred in the water with very little undissolved residue. I use room temperature to cool water. To date I have taken about half of the product.As with all supplements, it is wise to follow your Md's directions.This is a high quality product that contains the ingredients as disclosed that does what it is designed to do. Glutagenics is worth the price for the quality of the product and the results experienced using natural ingredients.

This is a life saver, let alone saved my sanity. I was on Prednisone for bad sinus infection five years ago. I had multiple side effects, but the major one was weight gain. I put on 18 lbs in 2 -1/2 months and have been fighting it even since.It screwed up my digestion.. Bloating, constipation, no matter what I ate (or didn't eat at all ), I was miserable, frustrated and depressed. Diets, cleanses, food eliminations, exercise, small changes but nothing worked long-term. I went to different doctors, all of them made me with want to cry or punch them. Each told me I had IBS( (which i didn't) or acid reflux ( i don't even have acid reflux symptoms) and would try to put me on drugs and not bother telling me what they were supposed to do. One even told me I had Fibromyalgia because i flinched when she pinched my arm. I read an article about Leaky Gut syndrome. Then I searched more. AH-HA! That is what I have! After years of research, trial and error on supplements, doctors dismissing me, I have found that Amino acids like L-Glutamine, along with Magnesium, (CVS has a triple magnesium capsule which I found works the best), Fish Oil, Vitamin E and probiotics are the key. I was 80% better, but still had some mild issues. My boyfriend's sister told me about Metagenics and I found this amazing product. I wish I had known about it years ago. I am almost 100% back to normal digestion and it is because of this wonderful thing. If you are having any digestion issues, try this product. It will change your life.

This product was recommended by my ENT to help with GERD (in conjunction with a med I'm taking). I've been using it for five weeks, and while it's not a cure-all, it does seem to help. I noticed that a lot of people gave up on it because it tastes awful--which it truly does! But here's what works for me: I add some strawberry syrup--the kind you'd purchase as a cocktail mixer. The berry taste overcomes the bad taste and even makes the liquid mixture look more appetizing. It will never be your favorite beverage, but with the berry flavor added, you won't feel nauseous!
