I have been shooting real estate now for a year or so and have been living with everything attached to the hot shoe or to various clamps to my tripod. I finally bought this after almost losing a monitor screen after one clamp became loose. Now, I have more mounts than I can ever use (maybe), all the ancillary gear attaches firmly and I can still use the hot shoe for flash triggers etc. This makes so much sense. Makes everything secure and doesn't put a strain on the hot shoe mount. I can still get to everything on the camera, batter, memory card, mic socket etc. I just wish I had bought this from day one. Well made, adds minimal weight, protects your camera body. Yeh, you need one!

Great cage for my Canon 80D. I bought a second for my son to use with his 90D. Great build quality. Easy access to battery door and adds 2 cold shoe mounts.

I have yet to attach anything to it, so I can speak to it from a utility perspective this early on. It fits well, is well machined, the extension that protects the flash is a very nice feature that acts somewhat as a handle. A couple areas where it might be considered needing improvement: There is nothing but the tripod screw that holds it in place (a couple stops for the front of the camera so it could not rotate would be awesome), and the fact that the frame goes right over the top screen makes it hard to view. I very much like the cage, and will be keeping it. Looking for version 2.

Nice and sturdy and looks freaking a amazing. It has multiple slots for extra accessories. I love the rig cage.

I looked for a cage for a 70D for some time and couldn't settle on something that I was interested in. Recently, I upgraded to a 90D and revisited the cage search since I wanted to take care of my new baby. When I came across the UURig cage, I didn't think it was real. A lot of other cages advertised that they fit multiple models which had me concerned that it may possibly block connections or not be well form fitted to a certain body. For the price, I risked it on this cage and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It fits well and doesn't hinder use of any functionality of the camera body. I have attached a light and microphone to the two cold shoe mounts and still experienced zero issues! Today I was able to connect the cage direct to my tripod and was easy to do so! I also recently bought the UURig cold shoe handle and it was also a great addition to my rig! Highly recommend this for 90D owners! I hope UURig continues to provide great options as I would love to continue to invest in their work!

My other cameras use SmallRig, but I liked this design better for the 90D. And It's excellent. Perfectly compatible with all my smallrig gear/arri/rod rails etc etc etc. HIGHLY recommend!

Much better that what I had before getting hold of this. Easier access to the battery and card slots. Makes my rig more compact and easier to handle. I love it.
