50pcs Top Pick Pinkeye Purple Hull Southern Pea Cowpea Garden Seeds

Just as ordered! Planted, popped right up, and deer ate right down!

The germination rate was less than 50%. This seems low for beans. Other than that, they are growing well.

What I received was NOT what I wanted or expected. Unfortunately, I couldn't tell untill nearly two months into their growth cycle. The seeds the vendor sent me grew bushes of pea pods that started off purple, and grew to the constitution of an edible purple string bean. What I wanted was standard Purple Hull Pea seeds, which grow vines/bushes of pea pods that start off green. The pods later gain a purple stripe, and ultimately turn completely or nearly completely purple, which lets you know the peas are ready to harvest. Upon harvesting, the edible peas get shelled/removed from their inedible pods or hulls prior to use, for a great tasting pea. I love Purple Hull peas. Verry disappointed with what I received!

I don't think these are what I ordered; plain white envelope, no picture, only a sticker of type of seeds, they look like kidney beans; and there were only generic instructions ( "Some of the small ones can be sprinkled right on the soil surface,\. Larger seeds will need to be buried.." Totally worthless instructions and since I didn't want to waste my time and limited garden space on an unknown seed I threw them out. What a waste of money.

These are not Purple Hull peas. They came from China and looked nothing like the Southern peas. Found some seed packets locally and planted them. I did plant 4 of the ones I ordered and waiting to see what they produce.

Horrible!!!!!!!!!

I ordered the seeds for this year‘s garden. We love purple hall peas. I ordered four packs and my wife planted three of the packs. She didn’t realize that they look different than the seeds we’ve had in the past. I am not sure at all what we’re going to have come up out of the ground. I guess, it will be a SURPRISE!!! The third and fourth pick our old seeds that we have.
