2D Maglite to 2x18650 Conversion
It works! My wife had her favorite purple 2D maglite flashlight for a long time, so it's more of a sentimental thing. However, it was SOOOO dim compared to the new ones. Not being able to have her use an inferior flashlight, I did the 2x18650 mod to this 2D flashlight. You need a 3D printed spacer, find it on Thingiverse "Maglite 2-Cell D Size Conversion for 2x18650 Li-Ion Batteries", and then make a slight mod to the spring/cap or use the Remix spring solution. Now you really need these bulbs, because you have a 7.5V flashlight vs. the stock 3V. It works great!NOTE: On a different review someone said that the base is to small. While true, it does not impact the performance of the bulb as it is held in place by the collar and works just fine for the D-Cell flashlight

Small Bulb, Bright Light
I bought these bulbs to replace the traditional, wimpy bulb in my mag light. These worked great with much brighter lighting. Hard to imagine this little thing putting out a more powerful beam. I almost threw out the flashlight but glad I tried these bulbs. Take care when replacing bulb. I sorta bent the perimeter stabilizer skirt when installing. The bulb will not work well unless the skirting is straight and level.

My mistake, they work great.
My mistake, I blamed these Swess LED Bulbs when it was the Amazon Alkaline Batteries that failed after only about 2 hour of use in my MagLite.I removed that MagLite flashlight from my car that I had installed the second Swess LED bulb in, only to discover MagLite did NOT work. I replaced the Amazon Alkaline Batteries (I purchased a 12 pack) with new Amazon Alkaline batteries to find out the MagLite worked. I than replace the old standard bulb with the new LED Bulb, it worked!I have to apologize to Swess for the bad review I gave on these LED Bulbs. They both worked great. :-)

50% of this order was non-functional.
I received the order quickly, as promised. The order consisted of two LED bulbs for the conversion of a Maglite flashlight from an incandescent bulb to LED. The first bulb was defective and would not light. The second bulb was operational.

An inexpensive upgrade to an old flashlight
I have several old school Mag Light flashlights, 2D’s, 3 D’s, & 6 D’s. The bulb fit well. The light is now actually a lot brighter. It does not allow for much adjustment to the size of the lights beam. It definitely an inexpensive upgrade. I don’t use it enough to comment on the lifespan but so far so good & the quality seems good.

A Conversion Worth Making!
A definite improvement in light output over the Xenon Krypton bulb it replaced in my 18v lantern shop light.
