You have to experiment with it to figure out how it will work best for you. I personally like it a lot! Some have complained that the sensor is too sensitive. It is until you find the right placement; I shoved mine back about an inch and it works much better. The bagging unit works fine and the can lets you know when you need to replace the cartridge, which is super easy to do. I do turn it off when I need to take a shower. Between the towel and my moving around, it would be opening and closing too much. This isn’t bad for me because I retired two months before covid and my shower frequency has gone way down. It is expensive, but I like not having to mess with smelly bathroom trash. Unless you like tech, you should think long and hard about putting this amount of money into a trash can. (I’ve got Amazon echo in every room of my house; I clearly love tech.)

This is a fantastic bathroom trash can. Seals it off then puts a new liner in with the press of a button.

There is no notification when the liners bags have to be replaced. Am I missing something? The button is too sensitive. Wish there were a better way to know when the bag cartridge has to be replaced. My wife and do like this product. Pricey but worth it.

UPDATED:The replacement arrived. Worked great for a few weeks...then just started stop opening altogether. I stupidly waited to really troubleshoot the issue because I was busy, but when I did get to it realized it was only keeping a charge for 5 minutes or less. So, it's useless. And now? Can't return it because it's over 30 days. DO NOT PURCHASE. It is faulty and has a LOT of issues!! Now I have a garbage can that is worth nothing and will end up in the dump.Previous Review: I ordered a replacement and I will update if the same issue isn't happening. I followed all directions, charged fully. The second I turn it on the lid keeps opening and closing on it's own with NOTHING around it. I can't get it to stop! Open, close. Count to 3. Open, close...count to three. This has been going on for 20 minutes and it's very annoying and useless.

I have two of them around two years. The best trash can for bathroom. Easy to use, no mess and perfect size.

Withholding full judgement until I've used it for a while, but not a promising start. Comes with a USB-A to micro USB cable, and no power brick to plug it into. And per the instructions, you need a 5V 2A power supply. Nine of my existing chargers are that, so I guess it's time to buy a charger for this $170 trash can that bafflingly didn't come with one.

Perfect size for small kitchen and very easy to use. Very sleek, modern look.

Love this thing!!! It not only looks so great it’s so functional and it is intuitive I haven’t noticed it take long to open the lid when I need it! And I get so many compliments on A TRACH CAN.

It is unfortunate Townew is not marketing it as a diaper pail. Took me a good month of search to find this gem. The focus of the products in that market is on odor containment, but there is more to changing diapers than just the odor. I have used this product for a month as a diaper pail and am very satisfied. Already on the second ring and highly recommend it. Disclaimer: We put it in our bathroom and that's where we change our baby. I don't know how it would work in a nursery room, as far as the odor is concerned.
