DiamineFountain Pen Ink 30ml -Writer's Blood

By itself, it kinda looks red, but next to any shade brighter, it starts to look straight up brown.I'd say this is a fantastic example of an oxidized blood, aged and dried, like what you may see on the bandaid after taking it off. It's just at that line of almost being brown without actually being brown.This is a great color for a formal correspondence where you dont want to be boring, but you also don't want a drastic color pop on the page.It's such an atypical shade that it'll stand out without standing out - if that makes sense.I'm currently using it with a vintage desk pen, and the color just matches the antique experience.There's a reason why this is one of Diamine's more popular colors. Great formula and great name. Worth adding to your ink library.

Good variation on Oxblood color ink. Flows well in my Hongdian pen.

A pleasure to write in Jinhao 10, highly recommended ! By the way, I added two drops of White Lightning to the bottle, and the result is incredible—unmatched wetness and dreamlike lubrication.

Very nice ink in every aspect. I appreciate how wet this ink lays down on all types of paper and how highly pigmented it is. Highly recommend, especially in this "writers blood" version.The reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars is the cheap PLASTIC bottle it came in. I love all the glass in bottles I have and cant stand to have some of the best ink in this cheap small bottle that can not fit larger pens.

It legitimately looks like blood, just smoother.Flows well, even from my more stubborn pen. Beautiful gradient.Just be careful not to put your pen in too far when you fill it as the bottle was fuller than I expected. As someone else noted, I could see an issue with thicker fountain pens as the opening is quite small.

Such a dark red that it almost appears black or brown, but it interacts with light and when smeared lightly/shaded it’s a gorgeous deep red. It writes beautifully (using a TWISBI Eco M nib), smooth and wet but I’ve had no issues with bleed through.My new favorite ink.

This is a long writing ink!! Flows beautifully from a glass dip pen and from a medium sized nib. The color is as beautiful when it dries as it is wet!! Very strong color, mildly water proof. Great ink and definitely worth the price.

I’m a mostly black ink kind of guy, but this scratches an itch for something different. It’s very deep and rich. I dig it!
