Works good and was a good replacement for my dying battery. It does randomly shut off while vacuuming but comes back on a few seconds later. Annoying but better than buying a new vacuum!**update** 6 months later and the battery has shorted out. Won't charge or power the vacuum. It's still about 1/3rd the price of the oem battery so you get what you pay for.**another update** got a replacement battery sent to me directly from the company. They honored their one year warranty and the new one works as it should.

Like me, you’re likely at a proverbial vacuuming stand-still; you loved your Dyson V10 and still do, but it’s just dyin on ya after a room or two. Sound familiar?Now you’re looking for a battery and wondering if you should do more expensive = better quality, or maybe thinking “if it’s not Dyson(tm), then it’ll be junk,” or just get a cheapy and see what happens…I’m the type of person that usually will go with a midrange cost due to the generality that lowest cost=garbage (and we don’t need more of that, now do we?) and that the highest cost = waste of money.I’m so glad I went with this one! There are no instructions about installation, but it was easy enough to glean. There are three small screws for which I needed to use a drill because I was scared of stripping them (after attempting) with a hobby screw driver. Simple enough. I did charge it before using it so it’d be ready to go.Other reviews are correct, that it does take a moment longer to start vacuuming, but do not let that dissuade you! I can now do my entire house! Which is so great because I’d be doing my chores and have to stop midway to charge the dang vacuum again, and inevitably I’d move on and then forget and then run into the issue the next day. Not ideal. So I’m so glad that I pulled the trigger on this one!TLDR: get it because you won’t regret buying this battery.

I am pleased with the run time compared to the original battery. The charging unit does fit rather snuggly when plugging onto unit.6 months review. Runtime has deminished considerably from the initial runtime. I used to be able to vacuum the entire upstairs carpet and hardwood floor. Six months later, I can't . I estimate that it lasts slightly less time than the original dyson battery did. I've removed the screws that hold the battery in so I can swap batteries in order to finish the vacuuming. June 2022 update- battery lasts only 5 minutes running the hard floor attachment, so is essentially useless. purchases october 2021.

battery didnt last very long

I was skeptical, so I waited 2 months after purchase to write this review. I want to assure you this battery works very well. It makes our Dyson work longer than the OEM battery, super simple to install, and fits the wall charger perfectly. I highly recommend this battery!!

ERATIC START!APARENTLY THE START BUTTON DIRECTLY CONNECTS WITH THE BATTERY.SOUNDS OK EXCEPT IF THE CONTACTS ON THE BATTERY ARE POOR.THE UNIT MAY OR MAY NOT START AS IT USED TO.THIS REALY SURPRISED ME AT FIRST, THEN I REAIZED THAT IF I SQUASHED THE BUTTON FIRMLY SEVERAL TIMES IT WOULD WORK.THIS DID NOT HAPPEN WITH THE OLD WEAK BATTERY.

Works just like it was the one on it so nice to know you can replace it.
