This is the only Hoisin sauce with authentic flavor. It's the one all Chinese restaurants serve with Mushu. It took trial & error but finally found it at the grocer. But on Amazon it's a steal at this price & size. Well packed.. Will buy again.

Updated: Just opened the bottle a week or so later. Noticed the lid wasn’t vacuum sealed. It was sealed with the plastic around the cover but when opened some of the sauce leaked out around the cover and jar.I mostly use this as a dipping for Vietnamese Pho noodle soup with some hot chili sauce. The taste is hard to describe. Maybe a plum sauce you could say. The texture is just right - not thick nor thin. The jar is better than the squeeze bottle. You’ll get every last drop out from this jar version. A little pricier on Amazon.

The sauce itself is very tasty as always. Just wanted to note that the packaging was great; the jar had a plastic sheath and in addition it was carefully wrapped in plastic bubble wrap and paper. No breakage and lid was unpopped.

Can't find this in the stores anymore so was very pleased that Amazon offered it. Not only that, it is in a larger jar so I get more! What more can I ask. So happy as it adds the perfect touch to my Asian dishes.

I love this stuff and this product is superior, I can't find better than this in the stores
