Finally, someone did it. This volume, combined with the other volume, provide a comprehensive road map for anyone to progress in their learning, at any level from novice to advanced. For decades I've read everything I can find and spent countless hours figuring things out. Well, it's all there in one collection now. Anyone interested in playing classical guitar should buy these 2 volumes. The cost is quite modest compared to the value of the information. They will be used throughout your lifetime as a player.

It's hard to imagine anyone writing a better method for classical guitar. We know, too, that classical technique is the best for fingerstyle steel string , so these volumes should appeal to a very wide audience. Perhaps the author, or someone else, will record accompanying examples: or put some online. As a teacher, I felt that I had to buy this immediately ( subsequent to a glowing review in Classical Guitar magazine) and I've been engrossed ever since it arrived.

The most complete and useful book on classical guitar technique I've ever encountered. I wish I had started learning technique with this book rather than working with technique books that led me down the wrong path to one degree or another. So many habits to undo, but I'm grateful to have all of this information collected in one book.The technique information as it is laid out in this book is rock solid.

I am rekindling playing after some time off, and looked for a companion to help me refocus and reestablish all the fundamentals. This book offers that, just perfect. Plus very sensible discussions, by the author, around all the subject matters. Recomended.
