I didn't by these for any other reason than the color. I'm trying to do retro pastel blue in the kitchen but every company making retro appliances uses a different shade. I though that dishes in 4 shades could tie everything together. The idea has worked perfectly, better than I hoped for actually. Now I don't need to match everything as long a it matches one of the shades on the dishes. It's a compromise that I like.Now for the dishes. I'm not impressed with the quality. The part that proves it is that the mugs in this kit are the very same ones available for $2 at the dollar store. I can say this is the same because the flaws in the mold at the bottom of the mugs are identical. If it is not the mold then it is the construction or finishing process that causes the imperfections but it really doesn't matter, they match the dollar store regardless. As soon as I saw the mugs at the dollar store I looked for the other pieces for the set, none of which they had. If they did I likely would have paid less for the set. The overall finish is ok, one bowl has a flaw. It looks like a finger smear in the finish when being moved between work stations possibly. One other bowl arrived with a very small chip on the outside of the rim. I couldn't be bothered to do anything about it since it was small and it would have required boxing the whole kit up for a return and then ordering again at full price. I did black Friday and Amazon doesn't honor pricing like that.All in all they do what I needed in the looks department. 5 stars for looks 3 stars for quality = 4 stars avg

they are Great dishes, dishwasher friendly. they have a bit of weight to them.

I have had the dishes less then a month and a cup and plate are chipped - GIANT CHIPS the size of my thumb nail. The first new dish set I purchased in 30 years and it was such a disappointment.

Love the style,color and sizes of the pasta bowls order extra for this set
