Very happy with this one! I have two older LG blu-rays which are fantastic, the 12x is 12 years old now! And works perfectly after 5000 hours of burning.This drive is a newer version of the IDE version I have of this same drive from 2003. That one still works as well, in my LAST ever x86 vintage machine of the win2k/XP x86 era.

Great burners and players
I bought two of these for my desktop computer. They work great what else can I say. No issues and fast delivery on Amazon. Easy to install and hook them up with SATA power and data cables. A+++

Will not read CD or certain tracks at times.
I bought two of these to replace two old ones I had in my PC which were developing problems after years of use. I received and installed them on March 12. I also replaced the cables on both. Over the last few days one of them has been causing me problems. At times it will not read the CD at all, it will also at times not be able to rip certain tracks off the CD and it is also very slow to load. I take the same CD's and put them in the other drive and I have no problems at all. I have used this one drive for only two months. Way to early to be breaking down. The build quality on the one is not up to standards, which makes me worry about how long the other one will last. I will have to request an RMA from the manufacturer to return it since it is has passed Amazons warranty period. Very disappointed!
