Meet Joe Black

I couldn't help notice the work by Brad Pitt. It was incredible to realize that death would be unfamiliar with Life and his reactions to things were beautifully awkward, delightful or powerlessly immature but always wanting to do the right thing, tho difficult because of simple, but oh so complicated feelings.Hopkins just makes me Love him more and more every time I see him, but he was so richly human in this, he was easy to feel familiar with the character.

A dying man tries to teach Death what living means. A bold plot and one that was captured very well in this story. The acting was excellent all around, which was to be expected considering the cast. Very much a movie that will appeal to all ages and tastes.

Storyline was interesting to me. There were some interesting relationship issues that seemed very realistic - dad and two daughters one of whom felt less loved. Interesting observations of a 'not human' being about things we take for granted. We enjoyed it.

I loved the movie and would watch it again and again.

The film starts a little slow catching onto the main storyline, but introduces the main characters, and who you need to remember, right out of the gate. It's a remake of the the original, "Death Takes A Vacation" but with an additional storyline of romance that helps enhance the moral of the story, and the ending. The understanding of the characters, especially the female lead, could have been more developed to show her undoubted understanding of what's going on, and we're only left to assume that she understands, at the end of the movie. But the concept, and the bottom line of the movie is wonderful, and can be applied to everyone, universally. Beware of the R-rated, intimate scene, mid-flick; it doesnt show any nudity, but its strongly implied, along with implied actions that linger on screen for several prolonged minutes. The 4-stars rating is only because you are left to assume that the female lead knows and understands, at the ending, but it's never clearly stated that she understands. I wish that it was made evident, better, that she knows what she knows, and understands (who joe black really is, and what is really going on). That (assuming she knows), in a sense doesn't seem practical, because no one would settle to accept this information without real proof or thorough explanation.

I enjoyed thos movie very much. The avtors were superb!

This is so well acted it makes you feel like it’s real, and what an ending.
