FATORK Mini Projector, 5G WiFi 6 Bluetooth Short Throw Projector, HD 1080P DLP Portable Projector with Rechargeable Battery, 1G Memory, Support Phone Laptop, Compatible with iOS/Android/HDMI/USB

My main reason for purchasing a mini projector was to transfer drawings, photos, etc. to various art surfaces for painting. I tried and returned several devices which simply didn't do what I needed. Then one day while searching on Amazon I discovered the Fatork mini projector which seemed like it would be perfect for my purposes. When purchased on Amazon the price was $259.99. Fatork proved to be exactly what I required. Setup was simple following the included Quick Start Guide.I also purchased a Photo Copy Pico stand to allow the projector to project downward. This device worked okay but needed to be elevated to secure the image size desired (see photo). My first trial was to trace a bird and portrait of which I wished to create watercolor paintings. The image was moved from the computer via USB stick in jpeg format to the projector. I did not have to make the room dark to accomplish the tracing. In fact I left the light on (see photo).Since I wasn't completely happy with the Pico stand having to be elevated to achieve the desired picture size I have designed a prototype stand which works much better. A movable shelf with a cutout slot for the projector allows for elevation simply by moving the shelf up to the next retainer and refocusing the projector (see photo).Now for a few things that make the Fatork projector a very valuable device for anyone desiring large screen video projection. The Fatork connects to almost any video divice by HDMI, USB, 5g Wi-Fi, using Apple and Android players, TV Boxes, TV, Audio devices, DVD players. Great news is it compatible with every popular audio and video format I tried.For movies a dimly lit room is prefered by most. For art tracing it was not necessary to dim the lights. Also a bluetooth audio amplifier or speaker gives the projector a more dynamic sound for movie viewing. The projector has a battery included which allows for portable viewing. There is sufficient power to view a complete movie on a charge. It also has 1 gb of internal memory.This is a DLP short throw projector which essentially means you can be fairly close to your screen and have it in focus. Also the projector can adjust keystone automatically or manually. This simply means your video is adjusted to have square corners with the top no wider than the bottom. That's my simple description of a fairly complex tech process.I set up a large portable screen played some video in a well lit room and a dimly lit room. The video was okay in the lit room but great in the dimly lit room. As previously stated a blue tooth speaker is desirable if you like booming movie sound like I prefer. I also tried playing a DVD video with a player attached by HDMI. The picture quality and sound were excellent. I also attached a TV Box which worked well.I highly recommend this device. The media could not be loaded. I did a looooooot of research into projectors to make sure a bought a quality product. Honestly wanted a more long-term, robust projector with a lot of light strength but those cost an arm and a leg haha. So for now this lil guy works just fine.Highlights:- Crystal clear image- Colors pop very well- Supports multiple inputs, though my favorite is hdmi to usb-c (I connect my phone to it)- Projection is as big as a big flat screen when only ~3.5 meters away from wall- Can connect the sound to other speakers- Others have complained about the speakers but I think they work just fine, they can get pretty loud so that's good enough for me. I figure others are just more picky about the crispness of the sound or something.Drawbacks:-Battery goes pretty fast, usually lasts me 1.5 hours. This of course is not a problem if you just keep it plugged in.- If you connect via screen mirroring or anything like bluetooth, the sound will be delayed from the image. Best to have a wired connection if you're watching something.- You can definitely see the projected image in the daytime but it will put a strain on your eyes to focus. This is best used at night.Caution:Screen mirroring does not work with apps like Netflix due to their security protocols, I highly suggest using a wired connection to bypass this issue. Otherwise you'll only be able to mirror videos that you download to your phone.All in all I enjoy this product and it works for my specific needs. Any worries I had about this projector before purchasing were immediately busted when I used it. I love snuggling in my bean bag at night under a heated blanket and watching shows or movies with this lil guy. The experience was definitely worth the money, it is a quality product with few drawbacks and NO deal breakers for me. I would invest!

Updated to add: The seller sent me an email offering to pay me with an Amazon gift card to delete my bed review. Didn’t offer to help me with the faulty projector, but did try to buy my silence to “give them a chance”. Ive since returned the projector through Amazon.I ordered this for my husbands birthday and was excited to give it to him last night. We previously had a mini projector we enjoyed using on our porch, and it had stopped working, so I ordered this for a replacement. Right out of the box, we had several issues getting the projector to connect to his iPhone, despite following the directions. When we did finally screen mirror successfully, there was a drastic delay in the video, causing the audio to be grossly unmatched. Speaking of audio, the speaker in the projector is not loud at all. Not a problem necessarily, but we will definitely have to use an additional speaker. We switched to a HDMI connection, and while it fixed the timing issue, the projector’s picture kept pixelating in squares like cable during a storm… bizarre since it should just be mirroring what’s on the iPhone, and it was playing in high speed and definition there. The projected video froze several times (not on the iPhone, just the projector), and we had to hard reboot it each time. We then took the projector outside and the image on the house was extremely blurry. Our old projector was about 7 years old and had much better clarity in the same location.I was so excited about this projector after the reading the reviews, that I think we either just have bad luck and got a dud, or we were duped on a scammy product. We charged the unit overnight and are going to try again on full battery to see if we have better luck. I will update my review if so. Otherwise, I’ll be returning.
