VERY HELPFUL!

Basic Concepts of Aristotelian Philosophy (Studies in Continental Thought) by Martin HeideggerOn Rhetoric: A Theory of Civic Discourse edited and translated by George A. Kennedy------------------------------------------------------------The Rhetoric of Aristotle, with a commentary by the late Edward Meredith Cope ... revised and edited for the syndics of the University press by John Edwin Sandys: Cope's commentary is found on line at the Perseus website but both are needed for practical usage. The website can either give you the specific commentary to a specific page of the RHETORIC or the whole thing which is good for specific items when one is on the computer but inconvenient if one is generally prowling about or unsure of what one is looking for. Also, the paper copy you can take with you wherever. The paper copy is a reproduction of the original text where some pages are unclear, but this can be alleviated by looking up the Perseus page and printing it. NEVER EVER get a computer generated paper `reproduction' of an old text! They are complete chaos unless they tremendously improve in the future!-------------------------------------------------------Aristotle's RHETORIC, since the publication of Martin Heidegger's BASIC CONCEPTS OF ARISTOTELIAN PHILOSOPHY has gained tremendously in philosophical importance! Essentially, Heidegger demonstrates, the RHETORIC should be the FIRST thing read in the Aristotelian corpus, or philosophy at all, because it is a, first, philosophy of language that, second, analyses how people actually talk to each other and understand each other. It is absolutely essential for understanding BEING AND TIME!
