The reason why I bought this utility was to update my video driver. The fact that the driver was an older inferior generic SVGA Microsoft driver - from 2006 - with no ability to change its settings is disappointing. It had a lesser 8 bit colour palette and resolution 1024x768 , with a weird screen geometry making circles into parabolic curves..If this happens to you go back to your previous driver, go to your Administrative account then goto, Control Panel / Device Manager / Display Adapter / Properties / (name of your PC card) / Properties / Driver / Roll Back Driver, and press OK.In my case, the sound drivers have been updated. My online streaming interactions could handle music so that is fine. When I was online, making a Zoom group call, the sound of other talkers was muted. I just selected 'test my speaker and microphone' and the sound was made available again.*SummaryThe AVG Driver Updater utility itself is great and at a great price. It works successfully to install the drivers. It's just the actual driver could be an inferior one to the one you have already.*Update 1 December 2024I purchased another license and used it, thinking it would update my Zoom utility. My mistake. This was in the AVG Internet Security 2023 to update applications and utilities to stop older applications being hacked, such as Adobe and Zoom.

Quick delivery it updated my driver's and I was having a flashing screen when connected to Zoom it stopped it. so I was very pleased. As nothing else I did worked.

The seller emailed me with the activation code, and told me they were also sending it by post. I did arrive. Great communication with the seller. I already have AVG Ultimate installed on my laptop. It was saying I had 27 drivers what needed updating. I entered the code and bingo! It updated 25, and two hadn't, so I rebooted my laptop and tried again. It updated those as well. All done! Easy!
