Very effective at a reasonable price
For the price these are very good - cut the volume without too much tonal loss

Best earplugs I’ve had
As a working drummer I’ve had loads of different earplugs and these are by far the best for noise reduction and quality. The magnetic tip feature is the icing on the cake

Volume switch makes little difference, but comfy and the strap and case are great
Used these for a few gigs now, the neck strap is great and they def work well but I'm not sure there's much difference with the volume switch. I think they're quite expensive for what they are but I'll keep using them.

Expensive but do the job
Let's be real, the price is absurd for what you get, but it functions well. Dampens the harsher tones but still lets you enjoy the quality of the sound.

Great transparency and attenuation
Have worn these to a few shows and the sound is really great. The benefit of no ringing after the show is worth the price alone, but the sound signature of these buds puts them way above cheaper options.

Incredibly effective at reducing noise without losing quality
Such a simple idea but could save your hearing. As a musician, I am sometimes in very loud environments. We know that high volume can damage hearing but, of course, we don't want to diminish the music quality by reducing the volume. So, what to do? normal earplugs will filter sound but at the expense of quality. Everything has lost dynamics and becomes muddy. This is where these D'Addario dBud's come into play. They use some very clever acoustic filtering that reduces distortion but doesn't reduce the quality of the sound you are hearing. You have to try them to truly understand just how amazing this is.And of course, they are not just for musicians. They help save your hearing in all walks of life. From traffic noise to office clatter, they will let you hear what is going on without the risk to your health. You will find that you come home a lot less stressed. Noise is a big stress inducer. The buds come with a really nice little circular carry case and there are 3 sizes of buds with both silicone and foam earpieces. And there are two levels of noise reduction, -12 dB and -24 dB controlled by a slider on the side of the earbuds. There are no electronics here. There are also 5 pairs of silicone ear tips (XS, S, M, L, XL) included in the box.If you are a gigging musician or you work in a noisy environment I can highly recommend that you give these D'Addario ear buds a try.

Not good enough for stage or working around live music
I was exited to try these as I normally use earplugs with changeable attenuation but I have to take them out and swap the filters so these would have been more convenientThere was little difference between the 2 modes and did not block enough sound out on higher setting .I'm going back to my alpine music pro plugs which are way cheaper and protect your ears properly

At a loss
I don't know who in their right mind would spend £53.50 on these and i’m sure lots of R&D has been done to get them to market - but the bottom line is they don’t work. They are as effective as the cheap travel earplugs you get on a flight… so not very.As I sit here in my kitchen with these earplugs set to the closed position I can still hear our microwave in operation about 7 metres away - if i take the ear plugs out there is only a little difference.I could go on to discuss the techy blurb that comes with this product but there seems like little point. Shove a bit of kitchen roll in your ears and you’ll have pretty much the same effect - with the bonus of saving £53… that’s a lot of kitchen roll.Side note - when you try to open the link that’s given in the packaging via a QR code it wont load. This link was supposed to be a certificate of conformity.Poor product that doesn’t work. Or at least not for me.I hope you find this review helpful.
