Amazon Basics Responsive and Precise 3-Button Wired USB Computer Mouse with Scrolling and Tracking, Single, Black

I didn’t expect to ever buy a wired USB mouse again, having disposed my last few ones quite a few years ago. But all of a sudden I found myself desperately in need of a friendly-priced, trustworthy mouse as due to the virus I’m not allowed to go back to the office and pick one up there. This Amazon basic type does what it says on the tin and looks reasonably sturdy. It also has a scrolling middle button.There are perhaps a few small downsides; first of all, I'm not sure if it's really an 'ergonomic' mouse. It holds perfectly fine, feels fairly light and looks very much like the less expensive Windows mouses from the 1990's. But I wouldn't say there are ergonomic benefits as the listing text suggests. Also it has this "Amazon-basics" label printed on top, so that everybody can see that you didn't want to spend money on your mouse. I would stress that I don't mind these small issues and they are justified by the very acceptable price. Moreover, for me it was quite a relief that it arrived quickly and that it could be put into action swiftly in a plug-and-play manner.My mouse-problem started when the firm decided that I have to work from home now on a shift basis. A welcome change of daily routine it seemed to me.But then the actual challenges emerged. They’ve only equipped me with my laptop that I can strictly work from. Apparently it’s a fairly high-end laptop with touch screen, but frankly, I always hate to work on it; the resolution and screen-width are below my and most modern standards. So I have been slouching over my tiny laptop keyboard and mediocre-resolution screen for a few days, quite a tiring, claustrophobic experience. But what makes it even more frustrating is the touchpad control and the lack of a mouse to quickly swap between windows and apps. And without a mouse I’m not able quickly transfer information between applications very quickly and effectively.. aside from constant frustrations this really slowed me down.So this part of my working from home challenges was quickly and very satisfyingly solved with this traditional but very effective mouse that I would simply recommend; it is basic but good and appropriately priced.

My existing wired Logitech mouse, which I've had for a couple of years, still works but the USB connection and wire where it connects there is getting a bit loose so the mouse sometimes goes off in the middle of me doing something unless I wedge something under the USB connection to raise it up a bit and then it comes back on again. Still, that's a hassle and I decided to buy a replacement (and keep the Logitech one as a 'reserve') and ordered a wireless Tecknet one. BIG MISTAKE! That looked and felt OK but didn't work at all, no matter how many times I tried to make it work! So, I then decided to return it and get a refund issued but I looked for a decent wired mouse on here that wasn't overpriced and over-fiddly but that just worked and did the basics well. I decided to order this Amazon Basics one which, from the mainly positive reviews, seemed to fit the bill and what could go wrong with a fairly straightforward wired mouse? It not working AT ALL is what could go wrong! I took it out of its basics box, all excited that it would work fine, plugged it in and .. NOTHING. I noticed that the USB connection was very slightly loose in the USB point on my laptop so that it moved around very slightly when I touched it and tried re-inserting it. Still, nothing happened despite several tries. So, back that went as well and a refund was issued. HOWEVER, I liked the feel and design of this mouse so much that I ordered a replacement, hoping that that one worked - and it does. Hooray! I love it!! It's nicely sized, fairly slim, has a lovely soft touch with a silky smooth feel and it works very smoothly. It's an absolute bargain too. I'm so happy with it!

I forgot my main mouse at home so quickly ordered this one as a way to complete work, for that purpose it worked well, the mouse is small which makes it comfortable to use, if you're using it for gaming it may not be the best.The quality for its price is generally unbeatable - if you need a mouse for any reason and are on a budget, this mouse is perfect.

I purchased this product to utilize with my Acer Chromebook, and it has proven to be quite functional. The left and right clicks are quite discreet, however, the scroll wheel is rather loud in comparison, but it is something you can comfortably tolerate. The cable is quite substantial, allowing you to connect it to that particular port on the opposite side of your laptop.I would highly suggest this mouse for anyone with a limited budget or who is in need of a basic mouse.I am genuinely pleased with my purchase.

I've not had any problem with this mouse, its the only one I've had that doesn't give me a pain in the palm of my had. It seems flatter than others I think that's why. It maybe be a bit small if you've got large hands , but it moves easy and the buttons aren't stiff. The wheel in the center works well. If you move on your trouser leg it still does it's job. Very good value for money.

Honestly, for less than £5 this is a fantastic office mouse. I don't usually write reviews however I have to praise the design and feel of this product. It's lightweight but not cheap feeling and the mouse click actions are soft and really quality feeling. I can't emphasize enough how satisfying it is to click this mouse. The only thing I will say is that if they are making a mouse like this at less than £5 then there might be some ethical concerns alongside some durability concerns. But so far it has held up very good!

Works well. No problems. I think I'll start buying more Amazon-branded products in the future as opposed to more expensive alternatives.
