Yes, I have the new iPhone 14 Pro Max with a protective case on and it fits on the tripod. You just have to pull the part that holds onto the phone wider, and it holds the phone really good!

Q: Did anyone have any issues taking it into the plane as a carry on?

No I was able to put it in my carry on and get through TSA smoothly. I just took it out of my bag and put it in a bin like I do my laptop.
