SABATINO PRONTOTruffle Risotto, 6.2 Ounce, Pack of 1

I love this brand of risotto. It’s easy to make and delicious- I stock up when I can!

It takes longer to cook than box directions. I had mine in a slow skimmer and left some noise which got soaked up as it cooled.I added shredded parmesan and a little bit of bacon fat.On the side. Oyster mushrooms cooked in olive oil, garlish, fresh rosemary, green onions, salt, pepper & Herbs de Provence with a squeeze of lemon over everything at the end. Yum!

I made it and I ate it all, but it took a few days as it was very salty. The grains were a bit tough too, which I have noticed happens in parboiled rices. I think it’s a fix with a longer cooking time. Too much salt tends to inhibit absorption of water in grains as well. Was tasty in small portions, though. Good as a small accompaniment to roasted veggies, or in an elegant mushroom/veggie seitan wrap.

Great risotto bu make sure you don't add seasoning during the cooking process. Like most boxed food it contains plenty of salt.

Tastes great. Easy to prepare. I keep one of these in the pantry, and a duck leg confit in the fridge for those days when I need to make dinner quick. Also freezes and reheats well.

I love truffles & find it difficult to find at stores, so generally order from Amazon. The truffle Mac & cheese is wonderful too. I’m finding all the Sabatino products I’ve tried to be outstanding! I will continue to purchase the products I’ve tried & would try any product from this provider! Definitely would recommend.

I didn't know if I'd like truffle flavor and I'm not big on rice. BUT, This was a hit! I didn't expect the pronounced flavor it delivered so I steeped saffron infused chicken broth I to the risotto stirring for nearly 25 min. I also added sautéed portobello mushroom and onions and at the added self-grated parm and fresh parsley. Perfecto!

While I love the product, the Q and A with the product inferred there were 6 boxes....I got only one. So, yes, I have to agree with other comments that the price is way too high. I can get it at Costco for a significantly less amount of money.
