Does not hold charge on our Hoover.

I ordered this power unit as a spare for my Hoover Free 100 upright vacuum cleaner. I was pleasantly surprised to find the replacement supply had a higher capacity than the original. The original being 0.4A 10.4W whereas the replacement can deliver up to 0.78A 20.35W. The battery will only draw whatever current it needs, so the increased rating should ensure better reliability and less chance of charger failure or overheating.The output voltage is marginally different at 26.1v as compared to 26v with the original, but not enough to make any difference.The weight of the item is 134.4g compared with the Hoover original of 88.4, which in my book is a big bonus. The output lead is also more substantial than that on the Hoover power block. It runs cool when charging and comes across as a very robust item.RFI emission levels were well below expected at ~36dBuV 20KHz-500KHz max and ripple at negligible levels. The product carries the CE and UKCA marks which is always reassuring.I would thoroughly recommend this power supply, in fact it appears to be of superior quality to the original Hoover power supply.
