Decent
Slightly bigger. Twice it started to make a loud, bad noise like ball barring in fan failing.Had to power down NAS and turn back on... noise stopped.Ordered Synology replacement... cords were 2 inches too short.Sent Synology back and kept this one.

Worked great on my Synology DS1010+ - until it didn't.
My DS1010+ died suddenly. After some poking around, I thought it might be the power supply so I ordered this one. I was particularly pleased that it offered return privileges, since I wasn't 100% sure it was the power supply. This product came 1 day(!) after placing the order. It fit perfectly and, after hooking everything up, the server is back and fully operational! One caveat: unlike the OEM power supply, this one has a 115/230 volt power switch. It comes set for 230 so if you need 115, make sure to change the switch. Took me a while to figure that out :(Good job, BestParts!EDIT: PS failed on 6 February 2023 with failing 12 volt supply, even with no HDD's installed. Vendor contacted. Will update with results.EDIT2: Replacement received and working fine 4 days after vendor was notified. Excellent support!

Wrong Voltage coming from lines
Not sure who wired this, but the 3.3v output was 12.86v according to my volt meter. Returned as this will not operate my device

The Good, and The Bad
So First off as the seller indicates if you have a DS1515 or DS1815 that will not power on and you have not repaired the motherboard this will likely not fix it. Now if your like me and you have a DS1815, you've applied the atom bug fix and replaced the transistor, then you might have a bad power supply. The good news? This power supply has the right plugs and works (with some modification). Now for the bad news. The power supply is slightly wider than the oem, which means you will likely need to ben the locating tabs slightly in your Synology to get it to fit. That's bad but not that big of a deal. The bigger issue is that the cables exit the power supply in a different location than the OEM. This means that the 24 pin cord is to short to reach the motherboard. Now if you willing you can cut the zip tie, widen the power supply hole and create enough length to make the connection. Its a bit of work but it is possible, frustratingly it shouldn't be necessary, but it is. Aside from that the only other notable thing is that the receptacle you plug the power cord into feels incredibly cheap, it wiggles around and the prongs are narrower than OEM. I'd recommend not frequently unopluging and plugging in.All that being said, with a little work it does function as a replacement for your Synology nas. At $75 its less than Synology wants at $120. The main driver for me was prime overnight delivery, allowing my nas to be up and running the next day. I'll update in a few weeks if anything changes.
