Very detailed road map
This is a top quality Michelin road map with extreme detail. It gives a good overview of the area and you can look at the details. Valuable if you are driving around the area. A nice complement to using Map on your phone.

Great with Google maps
Really? Nice ad drunk to have on our trip through Italy. As Google Maps is not exactly perfect, in this combination. Made everything much more comfortable.

Good Tuscany map for self-guided touring.
I think the Michelin maps have overall the best detail for driving in Europe. They list lots of routes by number, and they include many small villages and towns that help in navigating back roads. If I could change one thing about this map it would be to use black lettering for all city/town names, to make them easier to read on the road especially in poor lighting conditions. Michelin apparently doesn't sell larger scale maps for Tuscany, but if this becomes a problem many of the local tourist information offices have good road maps of nearby regions. An advantage of the Michelin maps is that they are coordinated with the Michelin Red Guides and Green Guides, for those of us who still like to have books rather than rely on the Internet and smart phones for all travel planning.

Came in handy
Rented a car in Italy, was nice to have a physical map whenever we couldn’t get GPS to work.

This is the map to take you through Tuscany!
If you have a car and are driving through Tuscany GET THIS MAP! The other maps cannot touch it. It has all the towns and roads. I had 3 maps of the area and we eventually ended up with the other two on the floor, and then later on, in the back seat. I didn't want to buy this one because I thought it would be a mess of folded papers and ripped edge like the maps of old - not so! It folded easily and neatly every time and I could bend it over on itself to focus just on the area we were traveling in. It is a huge map if it is all opened up. GPS and googlemaps worked great for us while we were there but you need a map to figure out where you are and this is really the one. Don't be afraid to trust the map and enjoy the back roads, it is the best part of Tuscany!

Not detailed enough for the back roads
I bought this map to use for a road trip through Tuscany and found it less than helpful with the smaller back roads. It's fine for the main roads but to go to the smaller towns in Tuscany we had to use the back roads. The map is useful for finding the general areas of the towns and the distance between them but we had to use the GPS in order to find our way around.

Wonderful (if I can say that of "just a map")
It is EXACTLY what I wanted for looking at Tuscany for our 5 days of driving around. It is large scale (a friend that's going with asked me to point out the Airbnb we're staying in :-)It shows some of Umbria, so we've got Orvieto on the map - where we're returning the car -> some maps for sale show "city look-up tables" or legends covering such sections of map.We know where we're going for most of our days and we will probably just follow our smart phone GPS directions but the scenic route indications on this map are fantastic and I'd like to follow them when we have the time.

Perfect map for planning trips through the countryside of Tuscany.
If you are going to Tuscany and renting a car—-BUY THIS MAP! I am a geographer and the scale of this map is perfect for planning routes and trips throughout Tuscany. Yes, you will your phone GPS (I recommend Waze for Italy), but it doesn’t give you the big picture. You need to see where you are heading and distances between places. I used this map to follow recommended routes from several guide books. I didn’t know there was a back road into Volpaia until I looked at this map. The map is LARGE.....but you can easily fold it over to show the area you are traveling through. Again, the scale is perfect for planning daily trips throughout the countryside.
