Dash Cam Hardwire Kit with Mini USB Pefect for Car DVR Camera Recorder (Left Angle Mini USB)

I installed this in my Chev. Suburban to eliminate more wires to the power outlets. After a few days connected to my dashcam I noticed the dashcam not working. I then connected it to my other vehicle's wiring with a working dashcam and it would not come back to life. I thought it was a defective dashcam, so I connected another dashcam to this wiring in my Suburban and after one day this dashcam was also made inoperative. I hope this prevents anyone else from experiencing my issues as this has cost me a few hundred dollars in damaged dashcams. My recommendation is to only purchase accessories from the dashcam manufacturer. I cannot find a contact to the seller to voice my complaint. Now I have to tear apart my dash to remove and replace this wiring.Additional comments: I finally sent a note to the seller and their response was simply for me to complain directly to Amazon. They didn't accept any responsibility and wouldn't offer any remedy. I did contact Amazon and after talking with a few different representatives, a supervisor agreed to a monetary refund for one of the dashcams. This was a mutually acceptable settlement. Use this wiring at your own risk that it may make your dash cam inoperable.

Bought this hardwire kit for my dash cam after buying a new car earlier this year, and wanting to hardwire it instead of having cables running everywhere like they were in my old car. It seemed to work great at first, but then my dash cam kept turning off at random times while driving. I tried it with a different camera, and it would not even start recording, and would just shut off within a couple of second after it would turn on.The original cable for both cameras worked fine with both cameras, so I figured it was an issue with this kit or my connections. I double-checked my connections, and they were secure. Decided to try using a set of needle-nose pliers to squeeze down a bit on the connector to see if it wasn't getting a good connection, and it seems to have fixed the issue, at least for now.It seems like this may be a hit or miss issue, as I had installed the same kits in my parents' vehicles for their dash cams (same model as mine) last year, and they seem to be working ok.Overall, I'm somewhat satisfied with this hardwire kit. I shouldn't have had to modify the connector the way that I did in order to get it to work again, though. I may look into a different kit down the road if the issue returns.

I hard wired this into my car and it worked for a few days, then was intermittent, then stopped working. I couldn't pinpoint where the issue was, but I think the mini-usb connector either wasn't sitting right in my camera, or something inside the connector was bad. My wife and I have the same exact dashcam and I tried both in my car with this kit with the same result. It wouldn't maintain power and would shut down after a few mins. However, both of our cameras worked fine in her car with a different hardwire kit.I returned this and purchased a different one which has worked great with no issues. I may have received a dud, but I'd wire it up and run the camera for a few days before taking the time to hide the wires in case you need to pull it back out.

This kit works well and is good for the price I would totally recommend it for your camera wiring needs.

Good sized gauge wire makes it easier to work with. Bought a different hardwire kit that had much thinner wires that was much harder to crimp. Used this with a spytec a119 dash cam

This wire looks well built, works as it should, no complaint fuse holder is better than the wire kit for my cobra radar
