Very good cam for the price.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Was going to order a doorbell cam, but we live in a more rural area and any intruder would come via the driveway so we order this cam. Easy to install and use. Spent time reading other reviews especially those concerning ability to capture events. Was concerned by these reviews but purchased and tested before installed. Was happy enough after 2 days of testing inside garage to permanently instal as a driveway cam. After 2 months this of use we love it. It may not meet the expectations of techies, but for the others it exceeds expectations. Takes about an hour to go through and play with the various settings. Separately purchased a 128g card and it records about 2 weeks of video.

Fantastic Flood Light & Camera - Buy it
Fantastic Unit. Been waiting for a month or so for the price to come down and there's was a $25 off yesterday and I bought it. If you are replacing an existing flood light it will take you 10 mins to install. Connected immediately and set up was simple. Whats great is that all your setting are within the app, not on the unit like other where you have to set the timer and distance. 2 setting, low sensitivity that uses the sensor and high sensitivity that uses both the sensor and the camera. It works flawlessly. Do not hesitate to buy this flood light. Below are pic of day and night. The night is clear without the flood light on.Highly recommended

Switching to Wyze
Purchased for our house in México. So far no complaints. They've performed great and have proven to be durable in the Sonoran deserts of northern Mexico. Definitely like the microsd card that will continue to work/record if/when the internet is out. As we've had some outage recently. Keep in mind the quality of the streaming video is dependent on the internet speed you have.

Not bad
I have different version of Wyze camera, not bad and easy to install. Also when it compares to v1 and v2 of the flood light with cam, v2 is little more clear but lack of the extra usb port. I used at the front door with v1 with an extra camera on the patio. I hope Wyze can provide back the extra usb ports on v3 in the future

Flood light stays on during the day
The instructions for making this work correctly are not intuitive. I had to try many things to get to work the way it should and finally got it to work. It's great light if you can get it around all of the requirements that you have to go through to get it to work. Biggest problem I had was that the light came on during the day and that it stayed on but was able to figure out how to get that working correctly with no help from wyse or the community. It's a trial and error process. I like the products. They go offline a lot but so does all the rest of them unless you have a hardwired into a recorder

Requires subscription just for basic functionality
I bought this understanding that the functionality without a subscription would be limited but believing it would still work reasonably well using the SD. Not so.The biggest problem, and by far the most cynical and blatant measure to get you to subscribe, is the fact that the unit will only record one still shot every 5 minutes. This makes it largely useless for area monitoring without additional expenditure. The camera is triggered as soon as anything enters the monitored area. You end up with one blurry shot of a hand or leg at the edges of the monitored area, and then nothing more for 5 minutes. This problem is compounded by the deliberate oversensitivity of the unit. The slightest rustling of leaves in a breeze will trigger the camera even with the sensitivity turned as low as possible and there's no way to prevent this without paying the monthly fee.The net result is endless alerts with useless photographs of non-events.The combination of these deliberate limits makes it utterly disingenuous to represent the subscription as meaningfully optional for anyone interested in the security aspects of this device. Without a subscription, this is essentially just a motion activated floodlight with the option of live streaming your driveway / garden if you're bored enough to want to watch it.Even then, the wifi connectivity leaves much to be desired. I have the camera placed on the outside of our garage wall well within good wifi access around our home. None of our other devices have any problems here but the wyze unit is constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. All in all, I'd say this one is a hard pass.
