IMMERSION HEATER AIDS FERMENTATION IN BEER & WINE MAKING ELECTRIM TE75 HEATS UP TO 25LTRS

My Immersion heater is now going through its second batch of 5 gallon wine. I have had no problems with it and I've checked the temperature range against those stick-on lcd thermometer strips and a 'proper' thermometer and it seems to be accurate enough. It keeps the 5 gallon liquid at temperature without any issues. I would say this is well made does exactly what it is required to do. I would be happier if the outside was metal rather than glass, but that's a different product I guess.

I have been using this immersion heater for a number of years. I had hoped that the manufacturer would use a more up to date technology. My issues are:1. There is no indication whether the immersion is on - the only way to find out is to remove the item from the fermenter and check if the heating filament if on.2. Adjusting temperature is at best tedious with no indication of the temperature figure itself.3. The factory setting of 24 degrees is inaccurate thus making it necessary to adjust it.As I mentioned that hopefully the manufacturer looks at the issues raised. If they do I would buy it again.

Thermostat is hard to adjust as the knob is very stiff. I suppose once you get it right there's less chance of it moving by accident. Besides this it works well. The led that lights up to show when its heating is a great feature as it gives you peace of mind that its not just constantly on.
