Has worked great way better then the box style

So far so good, used about a week now. Set up is easy and you don't have a box. It plugs into the back of the tv. Picture is good remote works good. Good value for your money. Hopefully it continues to work great and last longer then the box ones.

It stopped working after a year. Somehow the remote is no longer synched up with the device. I can not change the channel, turn it off, or change any settings. I changed the batteries in the remote, and it still will not synch up.

The tuner works well on my Fire TV.I just need a better indoor antenna.

So my Airtv died from a lightning strike (along with my modem/router and Blu-ray player). I didn't use it alot, but I knew I'd miss it for certain things, mostly football. I use Sling with a hd antenna in my attic. My TCL tv came without an antenna input (the hole is there but no connector :-( ) A new Airtv2 was around $175 and I really didn't like the original, so I thought I'd give this a try for $25. Totally happy with it! Plugs into tv with HDMI cable and have a USB HDD connected to it for recording. The picture is perfect - haven't tried it in bad weather yet, and I suspect it won't be as good, but that is to be expected with OTA... The recording software is a bit wonky, but hey - it was only 25 bucks!

It was tough going at first! I looked at the video until I was able to attach a filter to it and hook up the Converter Tuner Stick. After I finished, it was not so bad, I saw why I kept having problems. With the new small antenna and filter I also purchased, adding this Tuner Stick, turning on the television is more enjoyable. This is the way to go! I like that!

Does not allow you to watch other channels while recording

The media could not be loaded. The device is small and has good quality. The channels play very well and sound is clear. Please be advised you need to get an ATSC antenna. Also I recommend plugging it up with a 5v block rather than plugging in it on the USB on the TV. I was kept having issues with it rebooting when plugged in the back of the television. Overall if you are look for a device to get local channels with good picture and to be able to record pause and rewind(some type of thumb or hard drive required for this function), check this item out.
