Q: Does it require line of sight, or can it transmit through walls?

Hi, my friend, The HSV8113 wireless hdmi transmitter and receiver kit can through walls, but the transmission distance will be shorten. See the video below for the actual effect.

Q: Can i assign an ip address to the mirabox devices? as i want to use these in a routed network.

The vendor told me that the IP addresses can't be changed. However, I've plugged one transmitter and multiple receivers into a standalone network switch and all receivers display the signal. I haven't tried it on our corporate network.

Q: Is there a password for the WiFi the device has? in other devices there are settings if you can connect to that, whats the point of showing the wifi?

No passwords in the system. Transmitters and receivers must be paired by a process that requires physical connection. One might be able to detect the WiFi signal, but that does not mean an intrusive receiver could link to it easily.
