High quality whetstone
It will definitely sharpen your knife. Great quality. There’s a learning curve to this. You need to leave the block in water for at least 20 minutes. I usually put this on top of a non slip chopping board.

Excellent stone!
Extra large whetstone...works fast to sharpen a blade but you have to know what you are doing. Effective once you figure it out. Much better quality than the other brands. This is the real deal. You will only ever need to buy this once for an industrial kitchen or workshop. I bought several grits. Expensive but good tools cost!

Make knife razor sharp
If you know how to use a whetstone this is a very good one love how easily it was to use and learning once you learn how to sharpen your knives on a wet stone its hard to use those quick Sharpening tools that kill your knife a lot quicker then the wet stone method

Piedra suave
En comparación con otras piedras de la marca Suehiro, esta versión (Cerax) es un poco suave y se desgasta fácilmente al afilar los cuchillos.

A stone that has a good value
First of all, this stone is true to grit. As a matter of fact, it may even outperform its grit rating. Although rated at 1000 grit, it feels like a 2000 even 3000 grit in sharpening, and produce an edge as such. The stone is very dense. I can't say that it is hard, but it definitely won't dish as fast as other stones. In turns of cutting power, it sits somewhere between a resinoid stone and a magnesia stone, meaning it may not be that fast albeit being faster than some of the slowest.Overall, it is a good stone with an emphasis on value. You are getting a 2000+ grit edge on a 1000 grit stone. However, it is not for me because the stone I am looking for is one packed with a heck of raw cutting power. Something made simple with precisely graded abrasive with little or no filler material and a vitrified bond will do for me.

Moderate cutting power for me
I get what I paid for for 41 including shipping. I got nothing to complain. It's a true 1K stone. Someone must have really upset it because this bugger is a soaker. I had to soak 10-15 min. Compared to those small Edge pros i got back 5 years ago from Ben direct. Those suck water fast only had 3-5 min ready to go.Once you give it a drink it will go to work without complain. I had hope for faster cutting but the price aside King stone can be cheaper you just dont get better stone.Like to get metal stuck in there but easy to wash off if not I got plenty Nagura stone for me that's not a bother. (used King 8K Nagura or one came with Kitiyama, works great)Unless I used lots of Nagura I can hardly get slurry outta this stone. Something to consider, if that's your liking. Not gonna replace your Chosera or Shapton. However you get what is paid for. You have no time but money can spare get Chosera or Shapton forget about ever finding another stone. For the price and product. I would definitely choose this over King. Not that king is bad. Suehiro Cerax is just more real estate over King and I sharpen a lot.Seller that sold me is a big plus too. Protected the stone with extra bubble wrap. I have not complain at all.
