Updated review : after a while the glue on these strips just wears off and they start falling down.. Also the sensor picking up my tv remote as an input got old fast.. I still use these lights but I feel like I need to drop the stars in my reviewOriginal review :My partner bought some led lights for his tv (different set) a while ago and they were very awkward to setup and didn't stick very well.I bought this set recently and they are 100 times better. Rather than being one complete strip with wires in between (so you can bend it around the tv) this set are modular which made setup fair easier.You can have one full interrupted strip or use the provided wire connectors to bend them to whatever shape you want.Cons: its a little unclear that the connectors have to be set up in a certain direction and it takes a little trial and error to get every strip working.. Thankfully when I contacted the seller they were able to help me with this troubleshooting.I also encountered an issue where my tv remote adjusted the Colour of the lights so I had to hide the sensor.The pros for these lights far outweigh the cons and therefore it loses no stars.

Whilst technically these work as described, the result isn't really satisfactory. Mine are installed now, but I stopped using the within a few hours as they were basically pointless. The reasons why:The colour balance is way off making it near impossible to get a true white... as an RGB led you should be able to get a white. To get close to it you have to reduce the brightness of two colours and even that doesn't come close to daylight. Basically the three colour LEDs which make up each 'pixel' on the strip are not balanced in terms of brightness or colour frequency/hz, so the colour always looks weird.The brightness is poor despite being a 30 led/m strip, so there seems no point having the dimmer function as you'll want it on full brightness to get any sort of effect. Add in the problem above an you're running on 80% power maybe of an already low brightness/quality LED.The cable is also really short unless you're not going to run these of a USB on the back of your TV, and even then it would be extremely limiting (it is about 40cm, which in the real world is very short). As an novelty product I didn't want to plug mine in to my expensive monitors in case if shorted or caused damage so I wanted to run them from a USB power supply (wall socket) which made the short cable even more of a pain.Did they install ok, yeah, they were fine, the setup was easy, the adhesive has lasted 6 days so far and yes technically they work, but ultimately the brightness is a complete fail in my opinion and really suggests these are using cheap/dated LED technology from e legacy factory in China. If I'd know what these were I wouldn't have bought them.UPDATE - The glue is already failing and the strips are falling off. I cleaned the surfaces with isopropanol before fitting the strips (so there was no contaminants, just clean plastic). These LEDs are therefore not fit for purpose, they're not bright and the glue doesn't work. ZERO out of 5 if I could.

Such a great little gadget to have! Got it for my desk at the office. Takes less than two minutes to install and it’s ready to go. The ambient colour is beautiful. There are only two small problems: (1) the connection wires don’t work properly. I tried connecting the strips with the supplied connection wires but then the two strips started glowing different colours and I was no longer able to control the second strip with the remote. Consequently I had to connect all four strips back to back. (2) although it advertises for like 1000s of colours but in reality you get around 20 colours. Still good enough though

Really happy with these lights. I've tried a few of these types of light before and these are the best by far. When setting up, the sticky side of the tape is very strong and will stick to any surface really well and won't deteriorate over time which is essential for lights like these.The lights are really bright and the colours look brilliant behind the t.v. I'll probably buy more to put underneath my tv stand too.The controls are perfect as there's lots of different options to choose between and loads if colours are available to select. These lights are definitely the best value for money I could have chosen as they do the job really well and create an amazing effect which can be applied to a variety of surfaces. Would recommend it to anyone looking to buy led tape lights.

I don't use this on the back of my TV, but instead have it installed underneath a long cabinet above my desk. This means it is able to light my whole desk. It is so convenient and it means at night I can give it a low blue light to help calm my eyes before bed.It is easy to underestimate how much LED lighting can make a difference to a desk set up. It makes everything so much more sleek and gorgeous. The adhesive is a great touch as makes it super easy to attach to things.I am also considering putting one on the back of my desk. It is a good size for that, as it is around 2m long in total.

Great product. Bought one for my tele then bought another for under my cabinet. The only issue is the remote. When the red button is pressed one of the lights switches to green and so on. Basically the colours don’t match the button. This is only on one of the units as the other works fine. But I’m not bothered as I’ll always use white. One remote controls both aswell. Also my LG tv remote interferes with light settings. Not too bothered either as my I’ll be using sky remote and that’s fine doesn’t interfere. I used two strips along the top of my tele and one either side. Underneath the cabinet I only used two strips and kept the other two as spares for future. Would recommend.

I run mine from a small power bank, so no need to be near a plug socket or TV/PC/laptop USB port. They're bright, the colours are easily adjusted for both brightness and colour with the remote control (good range) and the connectors supplied to allow you to join strips around corners work perfectly. I'll be buying more, they're terrific value for money.
