I must use this option to reply to your email...The fact that it could not copy HID cards is mentioned once, at the end of the sentence, like "oh, by the way...". Not that noticeable.     * Note: It works for unencrypted 125kHz RFID cards/tags only! Not work for other frequencies. Not work for encrypted cards like HID iClass.Although you did have it in bold. There was so much in bold, it gets lost to the reader. So, while you said it...it was not said very well. Might I recommend you show a picture (worth a thousand words) of a HID token with a red "X" through it to show it is not compatible with your ETEK scanner?In addition to not seeing the wording it was not compatible and seeing the two (2) items being purchased together (AMAZON'S FREQUENTLY BOUGHT TOGETHER section), I made the decision to purchase the scanner. Thank you for refunding my purchase.Please provide a return address and RMA # (if needed).

If the fob you need to copy is old tech, this really will work.They have upgraded the security for many fob units to prevent these copiers from working.I'm happy that this worked, but it's honestly concerning that our unit can be copied so easily.

I was really excited about purchasing this product. Researched and reviewed requirements.Pros:-Product is simple and easy.-Good priceCons:-Product feels very cheap-Does not work on off-brand keyfobs and older models.I knew this was for unencrypted devices only, but it doesn't work on all. Found this out the hard way. I'm sure if I spent a few $ more, I could of gotten a better product.

Fun product and does exactly what it says. It will scan RFID tags and can write them to blank tags. In today's world most "RFID" like badges are now HID and have an increased level of encryption that makes a simple copy paste attack obsolete. This is a cool gadget to show to friends, but has little to no use in any actual setting.The product itself is super straight forward and easy to use with only 3 buttons (Read, Write, Power) and the build quality is decent for the price.

it didnt work at all and legit i dont think it was built to ever work. When i pick it up it evokes memories of picking up a handheld made in china dollar store squirt gun. its just as light and hollow and cheap feeling but the problem is when i get frustrated with it not working to duplicate my keep fab i cant turn around shoot anyone with it like i could with said squirtgun. dang it!

It read and writes as advertise.You NEED writable fobs and cards. the device Only works with the 125 Khz frecuency.
