So I have multiple versions of these off-brand rotary tools as well as having actual Dremel brand versions. Seeing that this one was inexpensive I almost didn't bother ordering it thinking it was going to be terrible.I'm pleasantly surprised. Is it going to beat a wired Dremel? No. However, if you're going to buy an inexpensive battery powered rotary tool than this one is the one to get. It is able to take more load than several other of my battery powered rotary tools. I can take a cutting wheel and apply more pressure onto it without the motor stopping than my other ones. The buttons actually feel like buttons and have a little bit of feedback so you're sure as to whether you did or didn't press the button. That may not seem like a big deal but so many other versions have buttons that are hard to tell if you've actually pressed them or not.It also doesn't come with 18,000 accessories so they can pump the cost up. It comes with basically anything you'd need right off the bat. One thing I really liked was that it came with multiple inserts to accept different tools with different diameter stems. None of the other rotary tools I have came with any of the inserts other than the one that was in it.It's rechargeable so you don't have to deal with an external battery. Also, it recharges via USB C so you're not dealing with some proprietary charger to keep track of as well as remembering which one charged what.This isn't the best or greatest rotary tool you'll ever buy. However, for the money I think this is a great buy for a hobbyist that will use it with moderation. It's price makes it a great buy. I would recommend this to others looking for an inexpensive rotary tool for moderate use.

Received a used product, not a new one. Returning it now. Beware!

I've had a corded Dremel for years and it was time for an upgrade so I found this. The biggest difference compared to the old one of course, is the added flexibility of being cordless. Of course, this does come at some expense of speed but I was pleasantly surprised that this one still has ample power even without a cord.It comes with a few accessories to get you started, line some sanding, grinding, and polishing pieces. It's a decent weight and size such that it's easy to old in use but not too tiring Overall, it works well and seems to be a decent value for the money.

This is a great tool. I recently got a smaller 3.7v one but it turned out its just not powerful enough for the kind of mechanical cleanup work i was looking to do with it, having previously used a regular wired rotary tool from a big name brand. In my photo this tool is the big one on the left and the 3.7v one is the one on the right. This one turns out to be much more powerful and is faster on its highest speed as well. It still fits all the same size bits and attachments from my old name brand tool as well. The design is thoughtful and it has really useful LED lights on the front to illuminate the work. Overall great tool...its nice to have close to the power of a traditional corded tool but in a cordless version, definitely will use it for many projects.

I used to cut out stuck plumbing fixtures with a reciprocating saw, but now I use a corded rotary tool for this job. The rotary tool is best for precise work especially when you’re working close to the threads of a fixture. The cord sometimes gets in the way when you position the tool. So, a cordless tool is the better option. This cordless rotary tool by Hardell is fast, powerful, speed adjustable, and has a light that works well. If I need to precisely cut, grind, or sand an impossible task, this is the tool for me.
