The R360 Radius360 Sanding Tool is an absolute game-changer! I recently had a major sanding project and this tool made the entire process so much easier and faster.Interchangeable Hubs: The ability to switch between different sanding pads (round, square, triangle) is incredibly versatile. I bought this to sand on a DIY project. I had to strip wallpaper, retape and mud joints on the drywall, and sand over it. I also wanted to sand over the newly-primed walls and the first paint coat to get smoother finishes on the final coat. Finally, I needed to sand a painted plywood floor prior to priming and recoating it. This was project that demanded a tool designed for large-scale efforts.I debated about getting a sander with a shop vac attachment as an alternative. More on this below.This works exceptionally well. Certainly, compared to a hand-block for sanding, I zipped through the walls, ceilings, and floors with ease. I had it attached to a short pole segment. An attachment is also available to do hand-held sanding. I'm not able to comment on it other than to say that, with a short pole, doing walls becomes a "side-to-side" motion with both arms while standing back at a reasonable distance away. I cannot see the same ease of use with the hand-held option.I also lent this to a group of painters that were doing part of the house for us. They loved it too. They especially liked that, compared to a normal pole sanding "block" (rectangular shape), this would not flip over.Get this with 220 grit and 120 grit paper. Use the coarser paper as prep prior to priming. Use the finer paper on the primed and first-coat painted walls.Cautions: This throws up a great amount of dust. Wear a mask, seal off the area you are doing to prevent dust from spreading to other parts of the house, and be prepared to look as though you've been in a dust storm when you are done. I see that Full Circle also has a shop-vac version of this, though it seems less highly rated. It is a trade off on upfront cost and hope the shop vac works versus upfront prep and recognition that extensive dust cleanup will be required. Also, be careful about removing sharp projections (nails or otherwise) on the areas before you sand. They will tear the pad, and it is expensive to replace.

It's always a challenge for tapers to change methods after doing it the same way for years. But this one is a no-brainer. This sander is more efficient and easier to use with better results! Sand paper last longer. Less chances of scratching and a larger sanding surface than your standard square sander. You cover a larger area in a shorter amount of time. I still use my square sander for angles and tight areas. This tool is waaaaay over priced. $40 for a sanding head????

Following the example of a couple of my "University of YouTube professors" I got this unit for sanding drywall mud and paint in between coats. Mounting it on a Sherlock pole system and this is a Game Changer for my work. No flipping over, and it feels very stable as I am pushing and pulling it around. When swapping out sanding discs, I found it easy to tear or peel some of the support padding. I did not expect that. For the unit and price, I would have hopped for a bit more robust padding. Still, a Game Changer!

This works much better than the old rectangular sanding pads. Unlike when I used the rectangular sanding pad, I did not gouge the skim coat I put up even one time. The feature I thought was really cool was a bonehead mistake by me. I thought it would roll along the the base moulding as I push. Turns out I was really unscrewing it from my pole. I discovered that when I pulled away and it simply rolled across the floor LOL. So I am looking for a pole that can do that without it unrolling. That would be sweet. I do recommend a sturdy pole for it, not a light weight pole, so you can get some push behind it. It has a large surface area with high drag coefficient that you have to overcome. When I changed from the skinny roller pole to a 1 1/2 in diameter aluminum pole, things were much easier.I am not quite a real DIY. I look for tools that make the job easier and leave me with less clean up. This tool fits the bill.The only other circular pad is a joke. I saw one in a big box store and it was too skimpy to put up with the stresses it will have to take.
