Books is okay for a rental. Highlights are in several areas of the book.

New book. It's for school so what can I say. The price was better than the book store so I loved that!

This text covers the important aspects of providing intervention to crisis and trauma patients, but needs improvement. For starters, the authors need to publish a revised addition, as this book is 13 years old, which means most of the research cited is out of date. Due to the dated nature of some of the research discussed, aspects of this book are incorrect and provide questionable guidance. However, a professor could easily compensate for this by providing addenda and referencing studies within the last 5-7 years. That being said, no amount of addenda and updating would compensate for the monotonous writing style and lack of effort to engage students. Reading this book cover to cover is nearly impossible, as the writers put in no effort to engage the reader. While textbooks are generally not as entertaining as novels, this book is unequivocally the most dull text I have ever read. Similarly, the text becomes far too redundant in many sections. I recommend the authors read Elliot Aronson's The Social Animal and learn from his writing style. I would NEVER use this as a required text for any courses I teach in the future, as I want my students to be engaged by the course text while also receiving relevant evidence-based information.

I opened the book to start reading and it starts with page 55. No pages 1-54 anywhere in the book. I sent a message and now hoping to get the complete book.

Did its intended job

What a boring, repetitive read. The information is spot on and informative but it feels like you're reading the same chapter over and over again by the time you reach chapter 5. The font is too small and the language redundant. It starts out as a book that seems like it should contain lots of amazing information but just doesn't deliver.

Overall honest & fairly new. It does the job!

Great book and good condition I am happy with my overall order and will be looking for other books that I need
