Highest Quality ... Very Adjustable ... Nearly perfect ...
I like almost everything about this stool ... I'm a little on the tall side and most music store staple offerings just are not high enough ... now I can get a stool with a height that suits me which can be adjusted with ease for various applications or when someone else with different physical features wants to use it ... it travels well and is built solid enough to take the rigors of gigging ... the seat is very comfortable: thick padding / size and shape that contours well ... as I said, it appears to be one of the best choices out there for musicians who need comfort, portability, adjustability and durability ...*I have only one negative: The foot rest, while adjustable, it is not a quick change like the seat height. You'll want to find a good setting and leave it there. If the adjustment for the footrest were enhanced to be as easy as the seat, this would be as perfect a stool as could be found, in my opinion.Note: The price is high so if you just need something to sit on without being concerned with the features this stool offers, then save your money. However, if you have been constantly unsatisfied with cheaper offerings out there, like I have, either due to the lack of adjustability or questionable durability, then cut your losses and end your search here ... as I said, very close to perfect for an active musician ...

cheap broken obvious return
To begin with this item was delivered by USPS. The postal worker left the big box in my driveway in clear view without making any attempt to conceal it on the front porch. Luckily I happened to check my mail and found the package before it had been grabbed by someone walking by.As soon as I picked up the box I knew something was off. I could hear things rattling around inside. I took the box inside and noticed that there was no tape of any kind on the box and it was held together entirely by two flimsy strapping cables. Upon removing the strapping cables the box opened up with the contents spilling out.All of the YouTube videos about this product show the product arriving as a box within a box nicely packaged. This item had no manufacturer packaging of any kind and was simply in the strapped box with loose parts. The chair appeared to have been partially assembled as seen in the photo. The instructions were loose as were the parts bags, rather than being tucked into the compartments at the bottom of the box. When I stood the chair up I immediately noticed that the angle was off. After reading the instructions I attempted to adjust the seat angle using the push-button lever underneath the seat as shown in the diagram. However the seat would not budge.Closer inspection showed that the screw holding the lever to the adjustment gear was broken. I noticed that the screw was plastic as was the gear. For a $300 chair this is garbage. This was an obvious previously returned item that was merely pawned off on me by the seller QuinnViolins & FretCentral. After closer inspection of their seller profile I saw a number of negative feedback.I considered simply replacing the item at first but after noticing the negative feedback from the third-party seller, and considering the poor construction using plastic screws and gears for a chair costing $300, and then also noticing that the delivery time for the replacement went from two days to a week, I canceled the replacement order and simply went with a return. For the money, this expensive chair does not seem to be that well-built. Unfortunately there are very few options available which allow for adjustment of seat angle, seat height and foot rest height adjustment.I guess I'm going to keep looking. I certainly cannot recommend this seller. And for the money I expected something better than plastic hardware and gears.

Very well made!
My husband loves this stool! He likes to be in a sitting position when playing for long periods, and has always been at the mercy of whatever chair or stool was available at the place and time. We finally started looking for a stool for him to have, that was comfortable yet light and easy to pack up and carry. This stool is the ultimate session and gigging musician's stool. The seat is extremely comfortable, angle adjustable and awesome looking. The pneumatic cylinder makes it very convenient to adjust the height, even while seated, and the height adjustable footrest simply adds to the comfort and flexibility. The hardware quality is excellent throughout, and after use, the entire thing quickly folds up into a flat 14 lb. package...well worth every penny.

Love the stool, but the support from K&M is TERRIBLE
When putting it tougher the button that you need to press in order to release the latch so that you can adjust the seat tilt broke, and I reached out to K&M to try and get a replacement ordered , and they were no help whatsoever! Basically sent me a parts list, and when I asked how I can get one ordered , they simply said find a dealer...well I ordered it from Amazon , and the only option here is to return the product...For a $400 stool, and all I was looking for was a $1 part that broke when assembling it, and they said " good luck " basically

Broken part after two months use, company replaced for free
This is the BEST, most comfortable, easiest-packing seat I have EVER seen in my 40 years of professional keyboard playing. Tried the Quik-Lok before this one and HATED HATED HATED it (heavy, unstable, clumsy to pack, uncomfortable). This feels like a real seat should; you will not be sitting on a piece of plywood should you find yourself sitting on the front edge of the seat, as I often do. Not only comfortable and adjustable, but FINALLY someone made a seat that is super easy to pack. This folds flat as can be, not taking up the entire trunk like the Quik-Lok seat does.Lots of money, but well spent!

Worth it if you’re looking the ultimate performance stool!
Finally! This is the perfect stool for any musician who performs seated or even half seated. I just received mine and the adjustments are phenomenal for comfort and convenience. Sturdier than I expected. Looks like K&M improved the foot rest to allow adjustments since previous models according to previous reviews. A bit pricey for a stool but it will pay for itself in the long run. For the price the features, design, durability has to be on point. Not as heavy as I was expecting and manageable for its structure. If it was $50-$60 less I’d give it 5 1/2 stars...lol!
