Not our regular purchase
I ordered this lesser ingredient product because my boy Dexter likes Merrick products. But Dex needs to eat lite because he eats often. It's disappointing that the regular bag we buy, in a blue bad, not a yellow, is out of stock everywhere. Whenever I see that notice it's a red flag for problems to come in obtaining the same product----sometimes not when but IF.When you finally find a good product and your baby actually agrees with the selection, it's a major set back

Great for sensitive stomach cats
Great dry food for a cat with sensitive or finicky stomach issues. My 13 year old domestic shorthair has done very well on this food.

My cats love it
It’s hard for me to comment on freshness or flavor of this food, but my two cats love it, so it must be good.

By far their favorite food: An objective and unbiased test
I have four cats and one of them has food allergies. He is not only allergic to several food, but also very picky. Therefore I find difficult to find food for him. The other three can eat anything, but I feed all of them with the same food.I have been trying several brands and several flavors and I also give them some wet food once a day.I made SEVERAL tests to check which food they like and was always difficult because there was always one cat that did not like that much. However, I was just surprised with the fact that ALL of them love Merrick LID! They really love it, all four of them. One of the way that I tested was using the same type of container with 3 different food. In the picture, specifically, I tested Addiction Viva La Venison, Merrick Purrfect Bistro GF Salmon and Merrick LID Grain Free Chicken, respectively. I switched the position of the feeders every day to avoid positional bias. Notice the striking difference, the feeder 3 was quickly gone. They ate all of the Merrick LID chicken and barely touched the others. After they ate all Merrick LID chicken, their second preference was Merrick Purrfect Bistro Salmon, but they clearly did not love it. I then filled the Merrick LID chicken feeder with more food, they ate all again and still the other feeders were barely touched.I tried other brands, including Royal Canin and Hills, always the same conclusion. By the way, they also like Merrick Purrfect Bistro Chicken, but because my cat is allergic I only give them the LID.

Cat Prefers Limited Ingredient over Purrfect Bistro by Merrick
When I first got my cat a few months ago, I mixed in her shelter food with Limited Ingredient by Merrick, but it must have been old packaging because when I tried to order it later it said it was out of stock. I saw Purrfect Bistro by Merrick and seeing that like the Limited Ingredient it was also grain free and by the same company I thought she'd like it as well. With the Limited Ingredient she would eat it all up within an hour at most, but with Purrfect Bistro she'd leave up to half of her bowl left by the next time I went to feed her. I also noticed even though she seemed to be eating less it looked like she gained weight.Next time I went to order her food, I found this Limited Ingredient by Merrick with different packaging. I couldn't find the ingredients for the old Limited Ingredient, but comparing the new Limited Ingredient to the PurrFect Bistro I noticed that there were a lot more additives in the Purrfect Bistro. The one I see mentioned by other reviewers a lot when comparing the two dry foods is powdered cellulose. So with all that said, I highly recommend this Limited Ingredient by Merrick over the Purrfect Bistro by Merrick.

My cats love it
My cat has stomach problems and this is one of the few foods that she can eat and not get sick to. And the others eat it without any complaints. They love it

She likes it
My cat likes it, I give it to her as treats instead of treats that has no nutrition and full of stuff that are bad for cats .

My cat doesn't like it. But will eat it.
My old food mixed with it and cat would paw at food to find the pieces of older food until they were gone. Then they would eat it.
