Wow!
First of all, I honestly didn't expect a book series of young adult love to move me, like these books have done. I am a 36 year old woman and isn't really in the product age group, but is still much younger at heart and have a great love for these sort of books. Well to say the least… i cried, no i actually started to sob for two hours, after i read the last line of the final book (it only took me 4 days to actually read them) - i am currently reading "Before" to get Hardin's perspective and i know that this too will make me ball my eyes out. Through these books i laughed, i cried and became frustrated multiple times, but in a good way, as it added to the suspence of the books and to get an amazing feel of what Hardin and Tessa were fighting for and against. I still can't remember the last time a book (in this case books) made me tune out the entire world around me and just settled into the world of Hessa, but i am so glad i read these, although my heart broke for the two of them again and again and i actually think it will take some time for me to "get over" the emotional aftershock, because some of their struggles resemble some of my own demons and i actually got a wake up call - which i didn't expect. This is the first time i read any books from Anna Todd, but it will not be the last. I absolutely love the way she writes and continues to pull me into this amazing story of love and overcoming the darkness. Although these books are only fiction, i understand that while they tell a tale of undying love, they also display the ugly side of real life, even when people are madly in love. These books gave me hope in the darkness, that one day i will also find my happy ending. They are absolutely amazing!

Great books (UK review)
I’ve just started reading these books, am halfway through book 1, so can’t comment too much about the whole storyline but so far I’m really enjoying it.I thought I would focus more on the actual condition and delivery, as that seems to be very mixed on here.Im from the UK and ordered my set from Crazy Coyote. They guaranteed my delivery the next day by 8pm and they arrived midday! So was super happy with that! The books weren’t in a box like the picture, but that didn’t bother me. They were shrink wrapped and are all in perfect condition. I received all 5 books. The quality of the book is great. I think the reviews about pages falling out, are US reviews, as I have had US printed books before and their paper is very thin.Overall I’m very happy with my order and saved a bunch of pounds ordering online rather than from a bookshop, as the set cost me £23.40 and each book is retailed at at least £8.99!

In love with Hessa and After
So this all addiction started when I stumbled across the Netflix film of After. I read that how a girl had all her path set up and it all changed when she met a sort of bad boy. I was like I’m sure it’s a one off film and happy ending and all that. I watched the film and identified with Hardin immediately. In a sense I was a challenging person but love to read. I watched the film 3 times in a day. I always research on the films I watch. I read that it’s in fact a series of books. Clearly I wanted more and couldn’t simply wait for the film release in cinema and with the current pandemic, I thought I’ll read the books. I purchased the books and I was to wait 3 days. Curiosity got the best of me and started to read in Wattpad. I got sucked in the story. I love that even though the characters, the settings are all made up but I love that you feel so connected to these characters, as if you know them by actually reading their thoughts. I love that Hardin despite the way he comes as intimidating, rude, bad boy is actually someone very sentimental and sensitive as we see his journey from messed up to finally loving himself and someone else. We see the big turn around. I laughed, cried and felt their feelings if that makes sense. In 11 days, I nearly finished the 4th book which I find hard to put down. If it wasn’t for my commitment as a mum and wife (and more) I would’ve probably finished the whole series in a week. I know it will end well but I like that it wasn’t a straightforward relationship and Hardin (my favourite character as of now) is real and in no way has he pretended to be someone else even with all his mistakes, he ever claims to be a Prince Charming or characters (ironically) you read from books as he claims it’s pure fantasy. Thank you Anna for this great art. I enjoyed it more than I should. When I finish the series, I’ll return to the first book as to the start of their relationship. I love it how opposite attracts and especially how they can’t stand each other to fully love each other.

A brilliant series
i loved this series. Read the whole series in three days, laughing, crying, and learning how Hardin and Tessa grow, mature, and discover the world, themselves and each other. How they dealt with their respective childhood traumas and navigated their way through. i won't watch the films as they won't be as good as the books. This was a brilliant series

Long winded
I did really enjoy the most part of these books but some of the story was quite long winded and dear lord I really wanted to slap Tessa into next week, she was so irritating and childish that I wondered why he even bothered with her at times. The books were very predictable so you kind of knew what was going to happen before you read it, but mostly it was a good read. The 'before' book I didn't think needed to be included as most of what was in there had already been included or implied in the after books.
