As far as I am concerned, Merchant and Mills can do no wrong. I love the entire philosophy behind the company and the style. I am fairly experienced at making clothes, but it was a pleasure to read both of these, even before deciding which project to begin with. The style of the writing is very pleasant, in a chatty sort of way, and has an immediate, enthusiastic feel to it.The patterns in both books are really, for anyone with a bit of creativity, all you will ever need. I think I shall start with the Haremere...

I was going to give these away as presents. I love them both, old fashioned books that I could place on a coffee table, fabulous simple binding and paper and not forgetting the wonderful patterns, which make this set an absolute bargain

Very good value. Do be careful when copying out the patterns - some pieces need to be stuck together before you cut out the fabric (Saltmarsh Skirt). Very happy with purchase and a good selection of patterns

Lovely books. I have used the patterns to make tops. The patterns are true to size and fit together like a dream.
