Potent and delicious!

During cold/flu season, I make elderberry syrup. This brand of elderberries has fewer stems than any other brand I’ve tried. When I was sifting thru 1/2 cup of these elderberries to make syrup, I only found 2 stems. With other brands, I would have had to pick out several. Highly recommend these elderberries and plan to order more when I run out.

These elder berries aren't bad and quite tasty but I had to pick through quite a few stems and twigs before I was able to reduce these berries to a syrup in my electric, mini chocolate-pot. I later ordered a 1 pound package of Frontier organic elder berries and they tasted great and had about 3/4 less twiggy bits to sort through.BTW, after cooking these down for syrup, don't throw out the leftover pulp! I mash up the pulp and add raw honey and keep in the fridge because the pulp is excellent for adding some healthy fiber to your diet (don't go over a teaspoon though unless you are prepared to have a religious experience).
