Silica - 1.8oz / 50g - Cosmetic Ingredient

This stuff is amazing! This is the best dupe for the expensive $35 powder you can get at your local beauty store. This is finely milled and a very soft and silky. Are use it mostly as a finishing face powder which works well for people with lighter skin but I think if you have darker skin it might make a white cast. This stuff blurs out pores and fine lines and also helps with oil control. You can also put a small scoop of it into a little bit of lotion and basically make your own face primer. I would highly recommend!

Seriously, this stuff is amazing. Like the best thing I have discovered for my face in years. I have an extremely oily face. I would get up and do my makeup for work and it would be oily and slick by the time I got in the car. This has totally changed my face game. I barely have to touch up once throughout the day. I don't even use regular powder anymore. I just have a tiny bit in a container in case I have to touch up, which is rare. Its so smooth and evens everything out. I use my regular primer, then BB cream then this and boom I'm good for the whole day. I live in SoCal where it is HOT and this still stays on.

I used to get one-off containers of "HD finishing powder" that worked great, but turned out to just be silica. This here is the exact same stuff, excellent quality, and an excellent price. I've been using this particular product daily for a couple months. Just remember, that if you're using it on its own and not as an ingredient in other cosmetics, you only need to use a very tiny bit of it!

My order arrived quickly and was decently packaged to ensure it would not spill or break during shipping. I mix a small amount with some of my other face powders to give them a soft velvety finish. It does not make you look too matte and goes on silky smooth.

Silica is a very fine "high definition" finishing powder. This is such a great powder to buff all over face after foundation makeup is applied.Your face will be smooth with less noticeable pores. Great value compared to the cost of HD powder that is sold at makeup counters.

Very pleased with product, docked a star for accessibility...would be nice if it came with a scoop for better dispensing from jar.

A friend turned me on to this. When my skin is feeling dry on my face I scrub with coconut oil / baking soda. Rinse with warm water. Pat dry and add this around eyes, mouth, nose and forehead. Tightens up the skin, locks in the oil and gives my face a heavy "full" feeling of hydration and comfort. Very cool.

I bought this not considering that it was dangerous. After reading that it was made from CRYSTALLINE SILICA - it is harmful to your lungs. I just don't think that powdering it all over my face and around my nose every single day would be good for my lungs. Do your research before you buy. I threw mine out. If I'm wrong about this Making cosmetics - please let me know.
