First class affordable integrate amp
Classic Marantz aesthetics (which I like), solidly built integrated amplifier and easy to operate with remote control. Excellent connectivity (digital, analogue and phono stage), beefy sound production and a great pairing with my Fyne Audio speakers. No Bluetooth or network connectivity but I have these facilities through my WiiM Mini in any event. In this regard, the internal DAC works well through the optical connection. Really good (and good value) heart of a hifi stereo system and highly recommended.

What a machine !
The media could not be loaded. Honestly, getting my hands on the Marantz CD6007 was like breathing new life into my music collection. Right out of the box, I was struck by how solid and well-built it felt. There's this satisfying heft to it, and the sleek design is just stunning—it looks incredible on my shelf, like a piece of art that blends modern elegance with a hint of classic charm.Setting it up? A total breeze. The controls are super intuitive. It was basically plug and play, and I was navigating through my favorite albums in no time. The user interface is straightforward, so there's no fumbling around with complicated settings. But let's talk about the sound—that's where the magic really happens. The CD6007 delivers an unbelievably smooth listening experience. Every note comes through with crystal clarity, and there's a richness that's hard to describe. Vocals are warm and full, instruments have this dimensionality, and the overall sound is wonderfully rounded. Gone are the days of harsh sibilance ruining a good track; everything just flows seamlessly. What's wild is how it's made me rediscover songs I've heard a hundred times. I'm picking up on subtle details and nuances that I never noticed before. It's like the music has more depth and color. I've found myself getting lost in albums, fully immersed in the experience. If you're considering an upgrade, I'd say go for it. The Marantz CD6007 isn't just a CD player—it's a gateway to experiencing your music in a whole new way. It's beautifully built, a joy to operate, and it genuinely makes a huge difference in sound quality. Trust me, once you hear it, you'll wonder how you ever got by without it.The track played in the video is from the amazing pink floyd echos album, buy it if your a pink floyd fan !

Crisp Clear Sound
I'm really pleased with this amp. The clarity and detail in the sound is superb for an amp in this price range.I was particularly looking for an amp with a built in DAC. Many stereo amps don't have them or skimp on them. I'm very impressed with the performance of this unit's DAC, which I drive straight from my PC SPDIF output. It's very good to be able to select the filter on the DAC too. The 2 options (sharp of shallow roll off) give you a choice between a more detailed sound (which I prefer) and a more laid back sound. The amp certainly brings out the best from my Mordaunt-Short bookshelf speakers and Cambridge Audio sub-woofer.Bluetooth connectivity would have been great too but for me that was much lower down on my priorities.

GOOD DAC/AMP.
I bought this so I could connect my Oled Tv's optical spdif and my CD transport without the need for a separate DAC. It was 5star rated by What Hifi too. But I was disappointed to find that whereas the version they tested used the AKM AK4493 highly regarded dac chip, the later model uses a ESS dac chip, which i do not care for. (apparently, there was a fire at AKMs factory so Marantz switched to the ESS dac.)Also, there is no propr preamp output, just a single subwoofer socket and it's not clear whether there is any filtering of the signal to it.Overall it's good value and has a quality feel with a good remote and seems to be happy driving my Magnepan Mg1.6i planar speakers which are 4ohms and even lower at some frquencies.

SOUNDS THE SAME!
As we know, hi-fi is very much in the ear of the ''beholder'. I have the previous model to this, and it looks, and to me sounds exactly the same! I thought there would be an upgrade in the sound at least, but I couldn't tell, so personally I don't think it is worth the money to me and even though my old one is now conked out, I think I'm going to go for Cambridge Audio for my new amplifier, slightly more expensive, but hopefully a better sound quality. Amazon are as good as gold. They are going to let me return this, as I am not satisfied with the quality of the product. Well done them!

Exceptional
The built quality is excellent; it feels solid and operates with a smoothness that belongs at a far high price. I found myself entertained by the Marantz dynamic abilities and a warm, spacious soundstage that's rare at this price. I couldn't shake this cd player; I just kept wanting to listen to just one more track, one more album. There is something very engaging about the Marantz; it does something about reaching into the music's soul and making you feel involved with the experience.Bear in mind that I have coupled the Marantz with a Denon PMA-600NE amplifier and a pair of RP-600M Klipsch, which are very lively and open-sounding speakers, and apparently an excellent match for this cd player.I tried the headphone output with a pair of Beyerdynamics DT 770 PRO 250ohm headphones, which are very difficult to drive, and I am happy to say it's a very competent one. The setup menu has a built-in gain adjustment setting low, mid and high, ensuring compatibility across a wide range and variety of headphones.I was highly impressed with the Marantz 6007, and I am confident you won't find a more entertaining, more pleasing sounding cd player until you near the £800 or £1000 mark. It just might be the last CD player you'd ever buy.
